The bases on the Silentnight Travis Kingsize Divan Bed - Charcoal do attach together. Stand the divan halves on their side and attach the U clips, there is a diagram on the instructions indicating how to do this.

No, the castors need to be fitted to the divan base. This is minimal assembly - 2 people recommended.
