About this product
Imagine settling into your garden with a book and a cold drink, knowing you've got proper shade sorted without blocking the middle of your table. That's what the Habitat overhanging garden parasol does brilliantly. It hangs over from the side rather than planting itself centre-stage. Your garden table stays clear for lunches and drinks. Loungers get covered without awkward shuffling. Even your hot tub gets shade on scorching days. The cream colour keeps things fresh and bright.
The crank action means you'll open and close it without wrestling. Water repellent fabric handles summer showers while you dash inside. Metal frame gives you sturdy support through breezy afternoons. The overhanging design means flexibility - move it where you need coverage most. You'll need a base to keep it stable, which you can grab separately. It comes with a manufacturer's year guarantee for peace of mind.

Customers Say
Sturdy, easy to assemble parasol offering good shade and stylish design. Requires separate purchase of heavy base weights for stability. Some find it cumbersome to move and lacking rotation or tilt features.

Pretty good product
Purchased this to use on patio, wasn't hard to put together. Heavy and awkward so needs two people. Very sturdy, feel umbrella material a bit flimsy, but a good product and I am happy with it.

Excellent parasol
This was a recent purchase to cover an area of decking at the end of my garden. It is very sturdy easy to assemble and looks fantastic. Even though it is black, it’s still creates a shade whilst letting some sun through. I think it’s fantastic.

Regarding your recent query about the Habitat 2.5m Overhanging Garden Parasol - Black.

I have this parasol and, unless Im missing something, you cannot adjust the height. In fact, its altogether non-adjustable at all. IMHO the reply given was a bit sneaky. Of course you can lower it by closing the parasol and folding it away... but I think Suey was asking about lowering the open parasol.
Hey Suey,
Thanks for getting in touch with us, Please follow these steps.
First, unlock the parasol by releasing the locking handle on the side of the main pole. Then, slide the securing collar up to allow the support arm to move freely.
Next, wind the canopy closed by turning the crank handle in the opposite direction to the one used to open it. Finally, secure the parasol by pushing the locking handle back towards the pole, ensuring it's locked in place.
Thanks for using Q&A.
