The Best for Small Business Owners!
This terminal is so easy to use! It's stylish and portable. Setup was a breeze and I took my first payment without any issues at all! Dual connectivity means I can take payments anywhere. My only regret is sticking with small card readers for so long.

Great piece of equipment

I am a bridal makeup artist and this is perfect for completing bank payments when people don’t carry cash anymore. It works really efficiently, set up was easy and the charge lasts a long time. So pleased with it and really benefits my business!

Sumup Terminal. The C of E meets E-commerce!
This is an excellent piece of kit. We run regular fundraising events at our church and it is surprising how many people offer a £5 note for a cup of tea. And expect change! The Sumup Terminal allows us now to offer card/phone payments for any amount. The facility to easily add items (being the Church of England, this is mostly cake!) to the inventory is really helpful, especially at the checkout stage. The user can simply tap the image and it is added to the checkout sub total. Nice to also be able to offer a printed or email receipt, too. There are two receipt paper rolls included, as well as two stickers to display the type of payments accepted; most cards, plus Applepay. Options include contactless, chip and pin, or phone. It will keep a record of the sales for later review. If you are VAT registered, you can set your rate and it will calculate the tax amount and show it on the receipt. For customers who want to leave a tip there is also an easy facility for doing this, with an option of different percentages. Battery life is very good: it will keep going all day. It is provided with a charger and USB A-to-C cable. One of its strongest points is that it is a standalone unit: there is no need to link it to a phone or tablet as it is entirely self-contained. The Terminal is rugged but comfortable in the hand. It has a nice large and uncluttered screen that is responsive to touch. It was very easy to set up and quickly connected to our secure WiFi. If the WiFi connection drops out, it automatically switches to 4G - 5G is a bit patchy where we are. Alternatively, the built in SIM card will connect to a network very easily. We haven’t yet explored everything it can do, but but it is going to make things very much easier in the future and will play a role in our fundraising efforts. (Did I mention that the tower needs expensive repairs?!).

Great for Junior Hairdressers and Small Businesses
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Using the sum up terminal as a junior hairdresser has made take payments much easier. The touchscreen is simple to use and I was able to set it up quickly without any technical experience. What I most like is that everything is built into the device- it accepts card and contactless and manages transactions and even prints receipts when needed. The portable design means I can taken payments anywhere rather than only at the till area. The battery life is also really good and the terminal is durable.

Easy to use and streamline
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Huge fan of this SumUp machine! Myself and my partner are both self employed and have used SumUp for years but this terminal is so much better than the ones we have! You basically use it like a little till and can add all your stock to it. It eradicated the need for a till system which is great when doing pop up events or markets. Quick to set up and streamline. The only thing I would say is it’s quite heavy because it has the receipt roll in it. If you’re carrying it around all day it could get a bit much. Having said that I truly love it! Such a simple but effective item!
