Delicious feasts welcome here. The Argos Home Ashwell dining table is beautifully crafted from durable North American oak. It boasts an oak veneer surface, sitting atop solid oak legs. The oak veneer surface has all the advantages of natural oak but without the drawbacks of potential warp and bend, that a solid oak may succumb to.
The Ashwell comes with 2 solid oak chairs, each boasting a soft padded seat and supportive slat-back design.

Chairs are different from original
We bought this set a few years ago, then bought another set in December for a relative. The newer set has much shorter chairs and not as good. Thankfully the table is just the same. Good quality set overall for the price.

Bought this table and two chairs came with some assembly to do, table was easy, chairs a bit more difficult , one of the chairs was not two bad but the other one did not go aswell managed to eventually get the screws to connect but it did not pull the joints together as well as the first one.

Individual chair weight is 6kg. This is moderately light for most people and should be easy to slide or lift from under a table.

The space under the table, the height from the floor up to the bottom edge of the support rail between the legs is 66.2cm. The horizontal space between the legs is 65cm approximately.

I do not know the answer to this question, but the chairs are constructed using real wood and I am sure they will be suitable for most people who wish to use them.
When I purchased there was nothing enclosed with the chairs to say what maximum user weight is. All I can confirm is the chairs are very sturdy and heavy, being well made. I would assume they would take a very large amount of weight but maybe the black seat padding could get indented.

You could only fit 2 chairs under the table at one time. Though 1 or 2 more could be placed around it, the persons seated there would not be able to sit down and still be able to be close to the table enough to viably use it.
This is a beautiful small kitchen table which can accommodate only two seats. I believe it will be a straggle to fit another two seats. To whether or not you can buy additional seats for this table please contact Argos.

The dining table and 2 chairs do not extend we do have a slightly larger table you can purchase that does extend hope this helps.
