The Argos Home Ashwell Oak Dining Table and 2 Oak Brown Chairs provide a complete dining spot for meals, morning coffee, or catching up. Built from North American oak for strength and durability, the table features an oak veneer surface that provides the look and warmth of solid oak while resisting warping. Solid oak legs keep the table steady and distribute weight evenly. The set includes two solid oak chairs with padded seats for comfort during long dinners and slat-back support to help you sit upright.
The square table seats up to four people comfortably when you pull extra chairs around it. Each chair weighs 6 kilogrammes, light enough to move around when you need them elsewhere. The natural oak finish wipes clean after meals, so you can sort spills and crumbs quickly. The table height works with standard dining chairs if you add more seating later. Self-assembly required, two people recommended for easiest setup. Covered by a 2 year manufacturer's guarantee for peace of mind.

Chairs are different from original
We bought this set a few years ago, then bought another set in December for a relative. The newer set has much shorter chairs and not as good. Thankfully the table is just the same. Good quality set overall for the price.

The space under the table, the height from the floor up to the bottom edge of the support rail between the legs is 66.2cm. The horizontal space between the legs is 65cm approximately.

I do not know the answer to this question, but the chairs are constructed using real wood and I am sure they will be suitable for most people who wish to use them.
When I purchased there was nothing enclosed with the chairs to say what maximum user weight is. All I can confirm is the chairs are very sturdy and heavy, being well made. I would assume they would take a very large amount of weight but maybe the black seat padding could get indented.

You could only fit 2 chairs under the table at one time. Though 1 or 2 more could be placed around it, the persons seated there would not be able to sit down and still be able to be close to the table enough to viably use it.
This is a beautiful small kitchen table which can accommodate only two seats. I believe it will be a straggle to fit another two seats. To whether or not you can buy additional seats for this table please contact Argos.

The dining table and 2 chairs do not extend we do have a slightly larger table you can purchase that does extend hope this helps.
