Amazing Blender
The button used to close the blender lid broke after the first use. The blender itself is very powerful and a joy to use. I used it to grind hot yam into an elastic paste that no other blender could produce. Other blenders under 1000 watts broke during use, but not this one. It's very powerful, but while I was blending the yam, it stopped and all four buttons started flashing, indicating that the motor had overheated and needed to cool down for 20 to 30 minutes, according to Google search results. The instruction manual doesn't mention this... After 20 minutes, the blender was indeed ready to continue, but I decided to return it because the lid seemed very fragile. Others have complained about the plastic bottle, but I found the plastic very sturdy. So I decided to replace it with the latest Murphy model, which has a power of 1500 Watts and a glass bottle... only to find out that the Murphy's jug was made of poor plastic and... went back for the Kitchenaid 1700W and just be more careful when removing the lid! It's the best blender for my plantain and yam puree!

Protein shake maker
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m very impressed with my new blender, I just put my ingredients in and select the smoothie mode and leave it to create the perfect protein shake . Then half fill the jug with warm water and press the self clean button to get rid of the usual stubborn residue. Because it self stops on each mode I can get other things done while it does its job. It also makes a lovely creamy soup . It’s a win win in my book!

Sturdy quality blender
A very sturdy blender which is easy to set up and use. It is a bit taller than I expected but not an issue. Blitzes food very well and is much quieter than my old blender. Several speed options and a pulse setting to suit your needs. I love the Clean function which my old blender did not have - makes cleaningit much easier. Loving it so far!
