The supplier has advised the following for the Dulux Primer & Undercoat Multi Surfaces - 750ml:

This product can be used over previously painted wood, of course. Standard preparation procedure is always recommended, clean the surface, lightly abrade the previous coating to create a grip to the surface, wipe dust down with a wet cloth, allow to dry, then proceed to painting.

When using over a waxed product, it is slightly different, as waxes repel anything that go on top, so it is crucial you remove fully the wax prior applying the product. This can be done by, using a stiff bristle brush to etch into the surface with a bucket of warm, soapy water, repeated several times until there is no more wax.

The best way to check if there is no more wax is by doing what we call a water beading test, spray some water into the surface, and if the woods soaks in the water, the surface is ready to began standard preparations prior to painting; however, if the water does not soak in and creates some beads, it means there is still wax in the surface and it will need more washing down with warm soapy water.
