I bought this as a gift & had to put batteries in to test it , the water level has to be exact or above , otherwise it doesn’t work … !!

TERRIBLE!
If I could give this zero stars I would. The first one I bought didn't work so I got it replaced and that one didn't work either! I had read that the water was slow so initially thought it must just take ages to work but no, it looks like I was unlucky with both sinks just not having functioning motors so there was no water coming out of the tap at all.

Yes, the tap has a small water pump in it. Fill it up to the fill level and the water will recycle through the tap.

The water pump for the Chad Valley Role Play Sink Set is inside the tap and must be partially submerged in water in order to pump correctly. If you are experiencing issues with the item please contact customer services for help.

The tap is fitted with a pump. Water is running in closed circuit. If the water level is too low, the pump not going to reach it.
