The Ruark Audio R1S DAB and FM Smart Radio is a complete music system combining digital radio, Wi-Fi streaming, and Bluetooth in a compact unit that fits on a kitchen counter, bedside table, or desk. With DAB, DAB and FM bands, you get clear reception and 8 preset stations for your favourite shows. The Composite wood hand-crafted grille and tactile curves give it a fresh contemporary look, while the Roto Dial controller and colour LCD display make switching between stations or streaming services easy.
Wi-Fi streaming supports Spotify Connect, Amazon Music, and Deezer, while Bluetooth 5 connects to your mobile for other services and remembers up to 6 devices. It has a USB port, AUX input, and headphone socket. Delivering 9 watts RMS with bass and treble controls, it's ideal for bedside use with alarm, sleep timer, and RDS scrolling text. Brilliant sound!
I bought this after the support to my Bose radio and speaker was turned off. I wanted something that sounded as good and this certainly does. The presets proved to be a hassle but quickly sorted out after watching the YouTube video.

Beautifully Designed and Excellent to Use
I am extremely happy with my Ruark Audio R1S Smart Radio. The design, build quality, sound performance, and overall user experience are outstanding. It is a beautifully crafted product that I truly enjoy using every day. I would like to suggest one small software improvement. When the Preset button is pressed, the preset list always opens with Preset 1 highlighted, regardless of which station is currently playing. I believe it would be much more intuitive if the currently active preset were automatically highlighted instead. For example, if I am listening to Preset 2, pressing the Preset button should open the list with Preset 2 already selected. This would make browsing and switching between saved stations faster and more user-friendly. This is only a minor usability suggestion, as I am otherwise extremely satisfied with the R1S. It is an excellent product that I would happily recommend to anyone.

Looks smart
I’m very happy with my Ruark R1S smart radio. It looks good and sounds good. It sits perfectly in my kitchen. It was easy to set up and really easy to use. I’d definitely recommend it.

The best radio out there at this time.
I’ve had several radios in the past and needed something better then what I have got already, so I decided on good reviews to purchase the R1S SMART RADIO. Well I’m amazed at the build quality it’s well designed in every detail and the sound I can say is amazing and it’s easy to set up as well . It’s not the cheapest but the price reflects on the very high quality . My only criticism is that you don’t get the remote control you have to buy this separately. But all in all a very well made radio and the sound is amazing.

Fantastic product
Recently purchased. This is a quality product that has many features and works perfectly. The sound quality is great for a small product. It feels premium as did the packaging it arrived in. It was delivered very quickly. Hadn't really heard of Ruark until I was looking for a new radio alarm but would definitely buy from them again.

Great sound and features
Bought this to replace another brand that has withdrawn support for radio presets. Being smaller I did not expect the sound quality that I get from the Ruark R1S and it has every facility that I need.
