Great piece of kit
Frustrated with Sky's monthly charges, I swapped it out for the S4-R 1TB. Took less than 10 minutes to disconnect the Sky box, plug the same satellite cables into the Manhattan, and complete the setup. Got over 100+ channels. Due to the better compression used on satellite vs internet, I’ve got outstanding picture quality that looks noticeably sharper and richer in colour. The interface is good; the usual features like series recording, pause live TV, and streaming apps are all there. It does not support a “multi-screen” feature, which is the ability to send a signal to a second box in a bedroom. Instead, I bought a Manhattan Aero and now avoid paying Sky monthly for a mini-box.

Great picture!
I replaced the old Humax which was giving a poor picture. This Manhattan was just plug in and go! So easy and it self-tuned and self scanned. The picture through this box is amazing and dynamic. I'm very pleased with it.

Good alternative to SkyQ
Easy setup just plug in satellite cable and scan for channels. Good amount of of free channels but not as many as I had with Skyq paying £80. Had a problem with guide updates and missed recordings but changed from WiFi to wired and rescan ,working ok now Remote is good and controls my basic tv function and box is similar to sky. Had to reboot twice because of blank screen but sound and graphics was working normal . Hopefully an update might sort it out. Lacks apps like Netflix etc but I knew that. No noticeable lag . Overall happy as free sky alternative
