Addis 50 Litre Pedal Bin - Lilypad Green

Good size

The day after I bought the bin one of the plastic hinges broke and now the lid does not open properly. The reason I didn’t return it was because it is a rubbish bin and we are still able to use it but I would not recommend it to anyone else.

Large capacity pedal bin, with a small footprint.

This bin is of generous in size at 50 litres, but somehow takes up less space than my old bin. It has a flat back design, which lets it sit closer to the wall, so it sticks out much less than my old round one. It is lightweight, but feels sturdy. It withstands our two German Shepherds dancing around the kitchen in excitement, without being knocked over and spilling the contents all over the floor. So that’s nice. I like that it’s made from plastic that’s been recycled and it’s made in the UK. Makes me feel much less guilty about enjoying the benefits of a robust, durable, hygienic, and easy to keep clean bin. Standard bin bags, or liners, are a good fit in this bin. They don’t overhang too much, and stay in place well. They don’t disappear into the bin after a couple of days. I love that the pedal provides hands free opening, and the top is wide. I’ve found this prevents unhygienic spillage that could occur with my previous press top or roll top bins. It’s good that I can have the lid completely open if needed, rather than having to remove it. All in all a good sized bin. Great for high traffic areas because it fits close to the wall. Easy and hygienic to use and keep clean. It’s made everyday household waste disposal easier for us. And being made in the UK from recycled household items is better for the planet too. Really like this bin, and love the colour, and would be happy to recommend it.

Sleak bin

Nice sleak tidy bin good mechanical operation. Push pedal and can be opened wider by lifting the top good size and blends in well with our kitchens decor easy clean coating and very light weight also easy to fit a bag.

Lovely addition to the kitchen

Great for intended use

This is a very solid, well-made bin and does exactly what it is supposed to do. It is deep, sturdy, and feels durable. The foot pedal works smoothly and makes it easy to use without having to touch the lid, which is a real plus. It also seems well suited to outdoor or semi-outdoor use — it handles weather well and feels robust enough to sit by a back door or in a utility area. That said, this is not a bin you would buy primarily for appearance. It is functional rather than stylish, so it may not suit a kitchen where the bin is on display. It works much better inside a cupboard, in a utility room, or outside the back door where practicality matters more than looks. Overall, if you want a reliable, easy-to-use, weather-resistant bin and are not concerned about aesthetics, this is a very good choice.

Functional bin that slots in a gap and looks good!

This pedal bin is lightweight and a really good size without taking up much space. I use it for items for recycling and it fits a lot of bulkier items in with ease. The colour is a pretty pastel hue with a matt finish that looks good in the kitchen compared to some of the garish shiny pedal bins out there. The pedal feature works well and feels sturdy enough. I’m really pleased with the product and would recommend to others. I feel it would be too tall to fit in an under sink cupboard but looks too good to hide away anyway!

Great size, nice looking

This is a really great sized pedal bin in a very lovely pastel green that doesn’t look too big, even though it is 50 litres. It is easy to clean and very lightweight. It has a touch pedal to open it, although the lid doesn’t open up fully using the pedal, but to empty it, you can just lift the lid fully open (obviously if you need it open fully at any time you can do so). Unfortunately mine had a couple of marks on it (see photos).

Love the colour!

Overall I’m quite impressed with this bin. It’s plain & simple but does the job! The sage green colour is lovely & modern. It’s lightweight but feels sturdy & robust & it will be easy to clean due to its simple design. The hands free foot pedal is handy to flip the lid up. It’s nice & wide & easy to press down. 50L bin liners fit perfectly.

Large bin

Large bin big enough to hold lots of rubbish. I am using mine to hold recycling and it takes a lot of things! Looks nice not too large in the kitchen. Easy to keep clean too, just wipe over with anti bacterial wipes. Foot pedal works well and it’s easy to remove the bag and empty out. Very happy with product.

A bin that gets attention

This bin matches my kitchen perfectly. I have had so many comments from visitors. Such a difference to the usual grey,black or white bin. A little smaller than i usually have, but still great for my family of 5. I love it!
