Disappointed customer.
Although we have had several kitchen aid products over the years I am not a fan of the service or of the quality products from kitchen aid. The only reason that I still purchase these items is only because the kettle or the toaster breaks down within the guarantee and being so expensive you cannot just throw out a working model so you have to replace to match both kettle & toaster, just a quick note of poor service two replacements under guarantee both kettle & toaster at different times came with a two pin plug and having them returned an informing them of my currant toaster being MATT black was sent a new GLOSS black kettle gave up !! as no kettle for two weeks between pick up & replacement ( we actually now keep a cheap kettle in case ) as on & reading the reviews there is a problem with leaking kettles as it was with mine we noticed when removing from its base unit there was water on the base & underneath on the worktop so had to reject immediately, reviews do say as with mine that you cannot see any cracks, any way I now have had to purchase another kettle but now have a matching pair both toaster & kettle in MATT BLACK at my expense. The reason for 4 stars is only that the design looks so good but the product doesn't look up to its name.

Lovely to look at.
Lovely to look at. Nice and quiet. We like the ‘ping’ when it’s boiled. A little heavy. Filling gauge under the handle is not easy to read so have to over fill each time.

Best Kettle ever.
This was a replacement free of charge from KitchenAid: after 18 months our previous kettle stopped working but was replaced without fuss from KitchenAid as it was within the guarantee. Absolutely brilliant service! And the kettle itself is the best you can find. The colour is good too.

Expensive but well made
A very expensive kettle, but I’m actually very pleased with it. It feels very well built, quite heavy but looks & feels good quality. It’s a quick boil & makes a sound when it has come to the boil along with lights on the bottom at 100*. I don’t think it holds as much water as my old kettle but that’s not a problem. Overall I thinks it’s a very well made sturdy kettle and I’d recommend it. The dark green is also a great colour.

Excellent Product
We are very pleased with this kettle. It is very solid. The button on the base is preferable to a button on the kettle. It boils quickly and has a variable temperature control. It makes a sound when turned on and repeats the sound once boiling is complete.
