Yes you can use drapery hooks to hang these curtains but only if you're using them to hang the curtains on some kind of curtain rail/pole.

Yes, they can be seen through at night but will provide more privacy in daylight. For your size window I would recommend the Size 240cm (94 inches) wide by 114cm (45 inches) drop.

This is translucent so gives privacy but still lets light in during the day. As it is unlined you will still be able to see outside, but details of figures and shapes may be obscured.
