Great piece of equipment
I have had these types of water dispenser before and lasted a very long time. I’m hoping that this will do the same. Bigger capacity! Different temperature, different volumes and stunning piece of equipment! So far so good really pleased and a bargain with Argos good value and discount. Arrived by post when they said it would be delivered. Easy to use and if using the same cup keeps the memory of the volume which is great.

Energy efficient design
We’ve had this for a few weeks now after our normal kettle gave out. It’s definitely worth getting the larger capacity tank compared to the 660. Instant hot water is dispensed but the flow is not consistent, I.e choose 400ml and only manages to dispense 360-375ml etc but not a deal breaker. Definitely more efficient can get a quick cuppa in less that a minute. The steam does gather on the touch screen and the sides but again not a deal breaker.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the CASO Design HW 1660 Turbo Hot Water Dispenser: It takes on average 7 seconds from pressing the start button to starting to dispense boiling water, total time will depend on volume of water selected, on average for a single hot drink the dispense time would be less than 1 minute.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the CASO Design HW 1660 Turbo Hot Water Dispenser: The dispenser cannot boil dry due to only boiling the water required to make the beverage if no water in the tank then the machine will indicate water needs to be added.
There isn’t an alert to change the water filter. The lifetime of the water filter lasts up to 6 weeks of normal use (filtering of approximately 160l water in total).
On the descaler, there is an alert for descaling. Also, you can set your water hardness. Press and hold the ‘clean’ button, the display shows ‘001“ or ’002“ as Volume. ‘001’ indicates
soft water. This means that Descale will light up in the display after 60 litres of water usage. ‘002’ stands for hard water. This means that “Descale” will light up in the display after 25 litres of water have been dispensed. Select your desired hardness level by using the volume button and select with the start/stop button.

The lifetime of the water filter lasts about 4-6 weeks of normal use (filtering of approximately 160 l water in total).
