Girls were unhappy with the poor quality
Girls were super upset making this 'cake'. The whole idea of making the duck cake is great however, the quality of the sand is poor. You can't easily take it out of the mould, you have to pry it out with your fingers and by that time, it deforms. Putting both sides together just doesn't work and attaching the pieces for the ducks eyes etc just won't stay unlike in Kinetic Sand. Ended up in the bin.

Good activity to do with kids

It needs to be done with the help of parents though, my 5 and 3 year old were having a little difficulty setting the dough in the mold and needed help in taking it out without breaking

The mixture is a soft dough that doesn’t dry out and there’s so much of it that you can make multiple duck cakes at once. The accessories are fun and realistic. It’s the perfect adaptation of the episode version. Would make a great gift.

So much fun
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This set is so much fun and the dough largely stays together making clean up of so easy! The dough is like a cloud that gets puffy as you pull it apart. The smell is not ideal and that’s the only knock. It’s not overwhelming and you do stop noticing it but my daughter called it out as sleeping bad. Despite that she had a ton of fun rebuilding the duck cake over and over and over.

Duck shape didn’t come out
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I thought this would be a very cute activity for the kids and they would enjoy it. They enjoyed it and had fun but the duck never came out,we tried everything but the “clay” like mixture never really got the shape of the duck something like it but for sure not it. I don’t believe it’s worth the money but I’m grateful that we got to try it. The packaging it’s super cute outside but not completely easy to take apart. Give it 3 stars because my kids enjoyed trying to make the duck.

Great to practice following directions and creativ

My boys love Bluey, but I’ve never been ambitious enough to try the duck cake. This is such a fun way for my son to make his own! The ‘recipe card’ walks you through each step in making this cake (from ‘cake mix’), which helps kids with visually following instructions and being creative at the same time. The kinetic sand can be a little messy, but overall this is so fun. I’ve even enjoyed designing my own duck cake!

It is not an edible cake mix, its like a fluffy slime sand to replicate the look of the cake in the show
