Stratos
After about 10 years our shark finally gave up. Bought a stratos although it picks up well it’s not as good as the original which used to drag me across the floor. I don’t think the build is as good but then again the price hasn’t changed much so something has to give. The only other quibble I have is you now mount the cord on the right hand side not the left. It’s surprising how much more awkward it makes it for a right hander. Having said all that I would still recommend it.

Didn't disappoint
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was stupidly excited to receive this product, as I share my house with four dogs, who believe that shedding is an olympic sport that must be practiced daily, a husband and a son. I have been through several vacuums in the attempt to keep my house fluff free, which includes dyson, miele and my current shark, which was the best I had found to date, so I think that it is fair to say that I have high expectations of my vacuum and this one did not disappoint. I vacuumed my living room first and the result was impressive and slightly disgusting with how much dust and fur was collected. This is a powerful machine, almost tugging you along with how eager it is to get the job done. The automatic detect for different floor types is seamless and the lift away makes stairs quick and painless, although I always scrape my stairs first, if for some strange reason you wish for it to be less powerful, this can be done with a flick of a switch located on the handle, which I suggest you do prior to cleaning small rugs such as runners or doormats, otherwise it will attempt to eat them. The same as with the older pet vacuum, this product comes with handy tool to de fur your sofa's and other upholstery. Things I would change or add to this product: The hose, it needs to be longer or more flexible to prevent the vacuum falling over. Longer power lead, this would just make life easier. Spare filters, as this is a pet vacuum and as dogs and cats come with their own supply of dust, the filters do get dirty very quickly, you can wash them, but obviously you have to wait for them dry. All in all this is an excellent vacuum and by far the best I have owned.

Even after clean the house with my old vac this will still find more dust.my only dislike is the filter could do with a tab to make it easyer to get out to clean

Deep clean, super powerful suction
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve found the Shark Detect XL Pet Pro to be really powerful and brilliant at picking up pet hair on both carpets and hard floors. The Anti-Hair Wrap feature actually works, and the large dust bin means I don’t have to empty it all the time. I really like the Lift-Away mode for stairs and sofas, and the floor detection makes switching surfaces effortless. It is a bit heavy and takes up space, but the suction power more than makes up for it. Make sure your rugs are secured to the floor as it sucks them up with ease. Overall, I’m really happy with it and think it’s a great choice for busy households.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Another amazing product from shark, they never disappoint you, this is a great all round option for any household, I love the suction, it makes my carpets almost look new every time and the bigger bin is big enough to vacuum the whole house and still have plenty of space left so less trips to the bin to empty. The odour neutraliser is a a pleasant addition and I feel shark should have them on every vacuum, it’s lighter then AZ3900UKT that I have used, the lift away function makes cleaning the stairs or upholstery so much more easier. The detect features are so useful with floor detect I can move from carpet to hard floor seamlessly and not have to do anything. The 2 way pick up is also a game changer so it picks up even in reverse which speeds up cleaning time. Highly recommended this vacuum, a great all rounder!!

Excellent hair removal

The generous 3.7-litre dust bin is simple to empty, and the front headlight is surprisingly handy for spotting hidden dirt. I also love the built-in, replaceable air freshener—it keeps the house smelling fresh as you clean. My only small gripes are that the power cord feels a bit stiff and the crevice tool can be tricky to remove, as it tends to snag on the cord winder. I would recommend this Shark vacuum to anyone who owns big hairy dogs as it really is anti hair wrap and doesn't clog up.
