We bought this a few weeks ago and the suction is next level from our previous shark model the only down side to this one is the power cord wire is really tough even after using it a few times and wrapping it back up that is the only let down for us

Good - but improvements needed
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ll start with the positive. Great suction. Good pick up using the pet hair attachment. Now for the not so great - the pull out function would be ok if it wasn’t so heavy. Using the pet hair attachment you need an extended so the upright doesn’t keep banging into you. The attachment with brush should be able to detach, can’t do it. The small attachments pack - no instructions. And lastly I had forgotten what it’s like to have a chorded vacuum. The chord seems short and too stiff, gets in the way. Utterly frustrating. Given all of that, I’m still saying 4 stars because it picks up pet hair very well.

Fantastic cleaning for house with pets.
Best couple of hundred pounds I've ever spent. It cleans very well, AMAZING suction, and the rotating brush gets everything. I have 3 cats, and have never had the carpet cleaned so well in the 6 years I've been at my house. The light on the front is great for seeing what you need t be picking up, or what you might have missed. The power of the forward motion is great too. Such a professional clean, I'm very happy.

Powerful
I recently bought the Shark Detect XL Pet Pro, and it has completely exceeded my expectations. The suction power is incredibly strong, effortlessly picking up pet hair from carpets, hard floors, and even upholstery. I'm surprised at how much dirt gets sucked up from carpets and good filtration. One of my favorite features is how intelligently it adjusts to different floor types, which means I don’t have to constantly switch settings. The design is also very user-friendly and easy to maneuver and the dustbin is simple to empty without making a mess. The anti-hair wrap technology is a game changer. I used to spend time cutting tangled hair out of the brush roll with my old vacuum, but that’s no longer an issue. Overall, the Shark Detect XL Pet Pro is powerful, convenient, and clearly designed with pet owners in mind. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, high-performance vacuum.

DO NOT BUY
DO NOT BUY. I have always had Dysons and decided I would like a change. I bought this shark upright about 2 years ago . I was seduced by all the different things it offered but all the pros are far outweighed by the cons. It is cumbersome, extremely difficult to manoeuvre due to it's heavy weight. The cord is on the wrong side so again difficult to move around as the cord keeps getting in the way ( good for a left handed person, I am right handed) The bits that come apart to make hoovering easier do not clip back easily and frequently come unclipped again whilst in use. The accessories ( brush etc) wont stay on their mounts because of the bad design so you never have them to hand and have to go looking for them. It has a nice long hose but it is so tightly sprung that every time you use it the whole hoover crashes to the floor and has caught me on the ankle several times. BUT the worst thing is the weight. It does my back in every time I use it and my knees... As I have said I have had this hoover for a while. I thought I just needed to get used to it but every time I use it I hate it more and it makes the chore of hoovering more hateful each time. I have just used it and I am so incensed that it is so user unfriendly ( and not cheap ) I have finally decided to write this review. I will not give it away as I will not inflict it on anybody else. I am going to throw it away and as soon as I sign off on this review, I am buying a Dyson..... I am only giving it a one star as I cannot give it no stars

Fantastic vacuum
Having been a Dyson user for many years I changed to Shark as I was latterly disappointed with Dyson suction. I am pleased to say the Shark suction excelled hugely over my Dyson. I will be sticking with Shark, fabulous vacuum, best I have used in 40 years.

Suction Is Amazing.
The vacuum suction is amazing. It is is easy to use because it takes very little effort to push, in fact it pulls itself along. The only negative is the cable, it is rock hard and hard to untangle and wrap up.

Bought this washer and now have to paint half my house as I now have dirty water marks from dirty water being blown out the vent and have to hold the tank down for it to release any water!! Good when it works though!!
