This fridge freezer is absolutely outstanding in terms of build quality and capacity. It’s like a Doctor Who TARDIS — compact on the outside but massive inside. The grey interior looks far better than standard white and, despite making the space look smaller, you can keep loading food in and still have plenty of room.The crushed ice and water dispenser works brilliantly, and it’s a feature we use daily. My wife especially loves the crushed ice.Installation of the water feed does require a constant supply with good pressure. Only 5 metres of piping is included, which wasn’t enough for my setup, but once installed properly it works exactly as it should. Make sure to flush at least 5 litres of water through immediately, then allow the reservoir to build up.However, the Android app/software is a major disappointment and, for me, undermines one of the main reasons I bought this fridge. I specifically chose this model to help reduce food waste, but the app is not fit for that purpose. Many everyday foods are simply missing from the list — burgers being one obvious example — which makes tracking food properly difficult and frustrating. This is not a small oversight; it significantly limits the usefulness of the smart features and urgently needs a proper software updated Despite this, the fridge freezer itself is excellent, which is why I’ve still rated it 5 stars for the hardware. If Hisense fixes the app, this would be close to a perfect product.

What a joke!!!

Brought a Hisense RS9P628GPFE American side by side fridge freezer. the ConnectLife app and fridge freezer tablet has just been a headache since day 1. You can only control the fridge freezer tablet with an ANDROID on the app and not an IPhone. And you can barely use the fridge freezer tablet. There’s no calendar function (when I was told there was) you can’t download a calendar app to the fridge freezer, if you do a Memo/family centre you can’t adjust it once it’s saved, you have to delete it and do a new one. You can’t Bluetooth images over, you can’t do voice control. Personally it was a very big waste of money and I’m really unhappy about it as I can’t use it the way I wanted to. The fridge and freezer itself is brilliant but the tablet lets it down massively. I’m now having to look at buying an android mobile phone to use with the fridge. More expense but I don’t know what to buy to relieve the problem. Hisense will NOT answer the phone to me and when I try and send an email it just bounces back saying email address doesn’t work. If I could take the fridge freezer back I would but I can’t so unless Hisense can fix these issues unfortunately my review will stay at 1* if I could have put 0* I would have

Great features

Great features within the fridge freezer. Easy to control the temperature. Two handy snack drawers and a bottle/wine rack within the fridge. The vegetable drawers are very spacious. The shelving can be easily adjusted. Eco mode can be selected. Ample ice cube box in the freezer allowing for both cubes and crushed ice to be dispensed. The display panel on the door front can be personalised with your own photographs and the message board is handy for reminders or passing messages. Definately value for money.

Pleasantly Surprised

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received my Hisense RS9P628GPFE, American Fridge Freezer after waiting for 2 weeks and I must say when the delivery man removed the box I was pleasantly surprised it’s beautiful and although it says grey in the description the colour is actually black and it goes beautifully with my new kitchen. I was a little bit skeptical to begin with as I’ve never tried the Hisense brand before but I must say the design is so sleek and modern and it’s beautifully designed it looks very classy. Not only does it look amazing it has so many features to begin with the 26inch screen where you can check recipes connect your phone and control the settings of the fridge and freezer it’s brilliant! Although works better with an android than an iPhone but I’m sure I’ll learn how to make the most use out of it from more practice. The fridge also has a plumbed water system and you can enjoy chilled water ice cubes and crushed ice at the click of a button and that for me is the best part as I have ice whenever I need it and it fills up automatically so we don’t have to put ice cube trays. It also has quite a bit of storage compared to my old fridge freezer it’s has 2 deep snack drawers and 2 big drawers at the bottom in the fridge section so you can easily store fruits and vegetables with ease it has options for humidity and low humidity which you can adjust according to your needs and it also has a very deep door shelf so you can easily put a big Vimto bottle in there without damaging the fridge so the kids can have nice chilled squash. The freezer is also a lot more spacious compared to my old American fridge freezer because the the ice cube compartment is on the door I get more shelf space and there’s a light in the fridge and the freezer so you can easily find what your looking for. Also the fridge has an eco mode so that it’s energy efficient and also you have an option to super freeze which is brilliant for when you want to freeze fresh fruits and meats to preserve their nutrients. You can easily connect and control the fridge by downloading the ConnectLife app. I am so impressed with my new fridge freezer I cannot explain not only is it so stylish it is packed with so many amazing features I’m learning new things about it everyday and whenever I have guests they compliment my choices and how perfectly this matches to my whole kitchen, we love it.

Amazing fridge freezer

Not only did it provide plenty more room, it has various features such as the ice and water dispenser, the display screen and labelled drawers and compartments inside. It also has a sleek luxurious look. The stainless steel with hints of black and recessed handles gives off a modern feel to the kitchen. The ice/water dispenser has three options to choose from including refreshing cold water, crushed ice and cubed ice, which is well-used in my household. The ice/water dispenser is easy to use and clean due to the small dipped part underneath. The smaller touchscreen above the dispenser shows the three options from the dispenser, as well as the fridge and freezer temperature. This also has an eco-mode feature. The bigger screen has a range of features that make everyday life more simple. There is a QR code on the fridge which takes you to an app you can download on your phone and connect to the fridge. The lock screen on the fridge displays the current time and weather in your location, various aesthetic backgrounds and all the useful options available. You can track your food inside with the fridge stock option and get notifications when items are about to expire. Additionally, you can make your shopping list using the fridge and have it within the app on your phone. Not only this, you can write quick notes on the fridge for when you need a reminder. Navigating the settings and connecting to my devices was easy to understand and now I can see what food I have and when it's supposed to expire making food shopping effortless. On the inside, I was astounded at the storage options. The fridge has multiple compartments for an array of products including glass shelves, two fruit and vegetable drawers, two snack drawers and a beverage shelf. On the fridge door there is also shelves with egg compartments and a plastic retainer piece that keeps bottles from moving around. In the freezer side, there is plenty of shelf space and two drawers at the bottom as well as two door shelves. The ice/water dispenser is inside the freezer door tucked away with clear instructions of how to use the machine attached. Each drawer is labelled for easy storage organisation. The glass and metal interior with ambient lighting blends effortlessly with the outside of the fridge. Overall, I am very appreciative of this product and how it's improved and impacted my cooking experience.

Really cool and so spacious

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Well, I'm quite impressed, but it definitely can be improved. First of all, I love the metal cooling technology, I've looked at them before and very much prefer the dark grey metal interior to the usual white plastic. It cools down really quickly. We were very excited to get a smart fridge freezer and the display is really cool. You can create a shopping list, add what items you have, set a timer and screen share from your phone. All connected via an app so it can be remote controlled. It doesn't have any apps like other brands, but it's fairly easy to screen share and the sound is good. It also has a recipe app where you can either go through the list or type an ingredient and it shows recipes containing it. It's very very spacious, the shelves are deep and the door storage is much larger than our previous fridge so it helps with keeping everything much neater. We are yet to connect the water hose, but we're very excited to have cold water and ice on tap! Overall it's really good, very spacious, but it can be improved on the display side by maybe adding some apps as it connects itself to the wi-fi so it would be much easier. Later edit: we've had the new fridge freezer for two weeks now - absolutely love it. Its sooo spacious to the point where I can spread the products out and there's still plenty of space. I love the metal cooling technology as it keeps everything fresh and our frozen products are not getting too frozen now, they're just as they should be kept. Honestly, really recommend this fridge freezer! The kids also love the screen, that they can watch tv programmes via screen sharing and are always excited about the drawing app! Great product!

Very spacious

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ve only had the Hisense RS9P628GPFE for a day, but so far I amreallyquite happy with it. The design looks sleek and modern and te dark colour gives it premium touch. The motor is very quiet and I hardly notice it running which makes a big difference compared to my old fridge. The storage space is impressive with more than 600 liters available. There is plenty of room for groceries, large bottles and bigger dishes and the layout inside makes everything easy to organize. The lighting is bright and clear which makes it simple to see what is stored at the back. The smart screen and the ConnectLife app are interesting features. I only tried them briefly but it is fun to see recipes, leave messages and sync with a phone. I still need to find out how useful these extras will be in daily life. The water and ice dispenser works well and cooling is consistent so far. Thanks to the No Frost system I will not need to worry about defrosting which is a real advantage. Since I only own it for a short time I cannot judge the long term performance yet but the fridge feels solid, stylish and practical. Overall I am satisfied with this purchase and curious how it will perform in the coming weeks.
