When you need a room warm quickly without the bulk and weight of traditional oil-filled models, the Dimplex ECR oil-free radiator brings 2.4kW of heat to spaces up to 18 square metres with its clever Thermocore technology that delivers warmth up to 8 times faster. The built-in turbo fan spreads heat evenly, making it perfect for living rooms, bedrooms or home offices that need reliable heating without the wait.
Without oil inside, this freestanding radiator is lighter at 10.5kg, leak-free, and easy to move on smooth-rolling castors. Three heat settings and an adjustable thermostat let you dial in your ideal temperature, while the 24-hour timer lets you programme it to warm the space before you arrive. Frost protection keeps it safe during cold snaps, and the safety cut-out switch with tilt-over protection adds reassurance. With a 1.8m cord and minimal assembly, it's designed for well-insulated spaces or occasional use, offering efficient, portable heating that fits your routine without fuss.

Nice & Efficient Room Heater
I bought this heater a couple of weeks ago, it heats up my living room quite efficiently by itself. it is portable and easy to move around even though it does not have a specific handle. From the way our electricity meter has been running it does not seem to be costing us a fortune and I do not expect to receive a significant increase in our bill.

Efficient oil free heater.
Very efficient stand alone heater. Heats up quickly and warms our space well. The multi programmable timer makes it easy to set prior to occupying the room. Highly recommended despite sitting in a higher price bracket.

Great heater
I got 2 of these heaters a month ago and I am very impressed with them. One I have on the landing as there is no heating upstairs, at first I used the booster but it actually gives off enough heat without it. The features are great too, I is pleasing to the eye, it is on wheels so can be easily moved and you can set up the timer to come on at any time. I highly recommend.

Would be 5 stars if the fan was always quiet.
Been running this heater for a few weeks. It does warm up a cold room well. The fan can be intermittently noisy when it starts up so leaving it on at night is out. However with the fan turned off it works well too. Not sure about the economics yet.

It is a on off timer that you can set. It's a single 24 hour timer so you aren't able to set week days and weekends differently.

Hi Deb, the ECR24TiFB heater comes complete with castors so will require a flat surface to stand on. If the carpet is a low pile carpet and the heater can stand safely without wobbling, then that should be ok. Hope this helps. Kind regards, Christa

The cost to run will be dependent on how much your electric bills are - the wattage of each setting go as follows;-
OFF - 0W
1 - 700W
2 - 1400W
3 - 2100W
With turbo fan on, add 300W to any given heat setting.
