Easy to get in and out and upgrades as the child grows
The ISOfix base is the best way to go. Easy to take in and out but generally you leave the base in your car and click the child or folder seat in out with a click of the button. Have to start with a rear facing baby seat (it’s the law here) which they use for maybe a year and a bit then get a new toddler seat but still use the orginal ISOFix base. Maxicosi seems to be a dominant brand so a fair chance friends may have the same base. Click in / out while the baby is sleeping is the way to go. A bit more expensive but keeping your baby sleeping is worth every penny. We bought baby seat then upgraded to the toddler seat. Daughter was happy in the seat which reclines with head support so she could sleep while travelling.

Lovely car seat
We bought the car seat set but as we have two cars we only needed the base. My car is a bit older but the iso base fits perfectly. I checked this before purchasing using their vehicle checker. Would recommend the car seat as very easy to use.

stiff and hard to get the car seat to click in
when we got this base it was so stiff it was very hard to get the car seat click in where the grey button ushed up green. I have been sacred to use it as I was worried I would be out and wouldnt be able to get the car seat to click in so have been borrowing a friends! my husband uses this in his car and after a few months it has seemed to get easier and will click in more reliably now, however it shouldnt have been like this in the first place! some times we have to jiggle the base about quite a lot or take out the prongs and put back in again in order for the car seat to click in which is not ideal at all

Cheap components
The cheap plastic components make the isofix base almost impossible to get in and out of the car. You have to fight with it every time you want to move it. Once you've finally got it in it works fine but the isofix connection system is a joke.

Easy to install base
Easy to fit base for the matching car seat. Very straight forward installation. Only took a few seconds. I had a different brand before and it took me and my partner ages to fit as had ti be right angle and both sides had to be fitted separately whereas this is all connected so one push and its all fitted. Good indicators as well showing whether its been fitted correctly. Easy to clip on the car seat and feels secure as well.
