The smaller size compared to the older version of Alexa is welcome. It has clear audio and the clarity is good. It’s fully compatible my other devices and the voice interface with Alexa+ is a major improvement over the previous devices. Connectivity is standard and easy to set up.

Disappointed
Disappointed that when you remove it from its base charger it works for five hours you cannot turn it on and off. I purchased to use in the bathroom once turned on it will last for 5 hours .

Yes, you can connect an Amazon Echo Dot 5th Gen to your stereo, but primarily via Bluetooth. The Echo Dot 5 does not have a 3.5mm headphone jack for a wired connection, so you must pair it wirelessly to your stereo receiver or speakers Bluetooth input. This is what I did.
