Extremely uncomfortable

I'm so disappointed with these headphones. I bought them because other reviews said they were comfortable, and I wanted headphones I could wear for long gaming sessions or music listening. The truth is they're extremely uncomfortable and badly designed. The headband is very tight and clamps your head like a vice. After only 5 minutes I get a very bad headache AND jaw ache, because these headphones have enormous rectangular (vertical) cups, which come down to the bottom of my jaw. I have a small head so if you had a larger head I imagine they would squeeze even more, because on arrival they're extremely tight. I also have small ears, but the edge of my ear touches the inside of the headphones (the hard part), and it's constantly distracting and annoying. It's very painful to wear glasses with these headphones, both because they're so tight — it will squeeze the arms of the glasses against your skin — but also the enormous cups mean you can't put the arms of the glasses above them. I eventually found some advice on the internet from other people that found these headphones uncomfortable (which it turns out if a very common issue), and people said after about a week they loosen up, but you can speed this up by leaving them overnight around a pile of books. I did that and it did help a bit with how tight they are, so I can at least wear them without immediately getting a headache. However, they still feel horrible to wear. Unfortunately I couldn't refund them since I used them. The other issue I have with these headphones is they have a comically short cable. It's only suitable for using on a device you are holding in your arms near your body. If you want to sit and listen to a device or a computer, you'll basically need to buy an extension cable. Considering that it wouldn't cost much more to have a normal length cable, and there's no downside for doing so, this was a really stingy decision by Sennheiser. The sound quality is good. They reproduce sounds accurately and with great 3D audio (for hearing where something is in a game). Music sounds a bit overly clean and lacking in base, but is perfectly fine. They are open back and only suitable for wearing in a quiet room by yourself, because you'll be able to hear everything around you, and people near you may also be able to slightly hear what you are listening to. That doesn't bother me because that's exactly the situation I use them in. Overall, I hate these headphones. I'm forcing myself to wear them because I paid for them, but they're so horrible to wear, I'm eventually gonna have to replace them.

excellent and easy to add microphone

Sennheiser sells two kits that adds a mic (one of them is HD 500 Bam), which is what i used. very nice headphones and comfortable too. the clamping force is quite high but the box it came with is a perfect size to stretch out the band, i left it overnight a few times and its very comfortable now

This is a classic, you cannot go wrong with it. Great sound quality. Plasticky but not necessarily in a bad way. Ideally needs some voltage to flourish but also works decently connected directly to a phone/computer. Also a 4.4mm balanced wire gives plenty of life. Overall great pair of headphones, decent price.

Brilliant headphones at a reasonable price

I bought these as they were recommended to me by Gemini AI. I wanted to be able to hear speech in movies without wearing my hearing aids as they distorted the sound so much. The Sennheiser 560S are perfect for my needs. I've also downloaded the FXSound app so I can get exactly the balance I need because modern movies have far too much base for my hearing.

Good all rounder.

I already own a few pairs of different headphones and these are a great addition to my collection, These are a natural sound headphone so if your looking for big bass these are not for you I use them for movies connected to my Yamaha receiver and they sound fantastic every clear speech and high end are there the bass is just right for me also have a large sound stage for films etc. Comfort wise you need to give them a few weeks to break in and mold to your head as with all headphones but there comfy and feel soft on ears.

If you've ever owned Sennheiser products before nothing I'm going to say will be a shock. I've owned some extremely expensive Sennheiser products and they are audiophile heaven as for these being a budget option there extremely good the do lack a little depth but for the money I highly doubt you will find anything better. My friend is Beats mad he absolutely swears by them, well he did anyway I gave him these to try out he came back stating all his music sounded different apparently he heard notes he hadn't before so I'd say the accuracy of these is pretty good also
