Performs great under direct sunshine
After diligent research, I came across this product which according to reviews seemed the best within it's price bracket. The key issue with most others according to customer was how ineffective other portable solar panels are. But this one promised better...and gladly, I can feedback that I am very impressed with it's performance and confirm that under clear day conditions in May (UK), the product rapidly charges a smartphone entirely in a just over of a couple of hours. When conditions are overcast - performance is severely affected. But that said, we mainly intend on using this during Spring/Summer. All in all, I'd recommend this for anyone needing to charge small electrical USB devices in the outdoors whilst expecting sunshine for maximum charge.

Not fit for purpose due to wires and low voltage
I bought these to go along with my Anger generator unfortunately the cables didn't match although they are both the same make and when I bought it I noticed the capability of the solar panels were very very low not really worth the price of yours me and if you ask me you manufacturer should make sure all their products they sell get the right cables afro you don't buy a generator so you can use solar without buying solar along with it and this just didn't work for me Argos made it even more confusion because they actually suggested by it when I bought it with their suggestions which I did and unfortunately it didn't work out so I had to take this back

Not useful for my purpose
I ordered this with the anker solix c300x 300w power station because the argos website recommended it as a add on and I thought solar would be cool and good for the planet. However the instructions for that power station specifically say this doesnt work with it and when I looked i further into it I found someone else had this issue in aug 2025, so hopefully this can be addressed. Other then that the argos staff I spoke to were extremely helpful in getting my refund and despite it not being compatible it was still nicely packaged and designed I just couldn't use it for the purpose i had in mind

Argos got it wrong
I bought this ,going on into from Argos I placed the order. This panel will not charge the solid c3000x DC Argos provided by Argos to go with the 300x DC Total waste of my time

Solar panel
I bought this solar panel thinking it will charge the power station that it connects to but it dont charge it and dont come will charging cable, you have to buy it separate

Excellent piece of kit!
Bought this for a recent camping trip and proved very useful, even on days without consistent bright sunshine. Although not the fastest charging experience, it's definitely worth investing in. I used it for my phone (USB-C connector) and smart watch (USB). Great build and design quality. Folds in to a neat A4 size when not in use.

I bought this last month to charge a portable charger while away on a weekend excursion and while it was obnoxiously sunny and hot this solar panel only charged my charger 5% in 6 hours

So what solar panel should we use for a solix300x please?
If this solar panel isnt compatible with the Anker SOLIX C300X Portable Power Station - 2288W then Argos really shouldnt be recommending that this should be purchased alongside the Power Station. Totally stupid IMO!

Apologies, no, this will be able to connect to a power station as it's only 30 watt. You could use the USB-C type input on the power station but these aren't the high power output panels that is designed to be used with power stations.
