About this product
The LX50 can shred 9 sheets per pass into 4 x 37mm cross-cut particles, so you can be sure that your confidential documents have been shredded securely. The LX50 features a safety lock which prevents the machine from being accidentally activated. This paper shredder will shred continuously for up to 5 minutes before requiring 30 minutes to cool down. This shredders cutter will not only shred your documents, but can shred staples, paper clips and credit cards too. The LX50 features a 17 litre bin with a lift-off-head.

Great shredder
I bought this few weeks ago it was to replace a broken shredder. It is a lot quieter than my old shredder, and cuts through paper effortlessly. Great product.

Excellent so far
I bought this shredder about a month ago to replace one which I've had for many years which finally failed. I wanted one that looked more in keeping with a home office and the white and grey colour and size make this model very unobtrusive. It actually looks quite nice. I'm a regular user of it but don't use it for long periods and so far its been good, perhaps a little quieter than my last one. If it lasts as long (20 years) then I'll be very pleased

Neat and efficient
This is easy to store under a desk. You need to buy the oil or shredder sheets too which is a pain but I imagine that's rhetorical same for all shredders. No removable bin but that's what I expected for the good price.

To unjam a Fellowes Powershred LX50, first unplug the shredder. Then, empty the waste basket to provide more space. Next, run the shredder in reverse by pressing and holding the reverse button for 2-3 seconds. While reversing, gently pull out any uncut paper that is causing the jam. If the jam persists, use a special shredder oil to lubricate the blades.
