I bought this during the heatwave in June and it was a life savour. Great build quality, excellent speeds, oscillation settings and air flow and has been very reliable all summer. Worth every bit of the price. Can be a little noisy on high speeds but it’s worth it to survive the heat.

Good quality fan hopefully for many years of use
Robustly built, quieter than typical fan and relatively attractive. The night setting is particularly useful as a low breeze and very quiet setting that can be left on all night. It's relatively heavy but not overly so and means not easily knocked over. Although it is relatively expensive for a fan, given I imagine requiring fans for hot summers for many decades to come, it seemed a good investment for the long term. Although I've only had it for a few months, it seems good quality so I'm hopefully it will last a long time.

Why is quiet louder than medium?
The fan looks good, and really like how the lights at the top turn off after a few seconds. However, I wouldn't recommend this fan for nighttime use, as the fan motor makes a horrible noise on the quietest setting. This fan is only usable on medium or high settings. It's a shame, otherwise I'd say this fan is worth buying over cheaper ones

Like the fan. Don't like how you have to pop the front off just to get to the blades. I imagine the plastic might snap at some point in the next few years but maybe not.

Very quiet and reliable
I bought this a couple of months ago and I'm absolutely in love. It's so quiet on the lowest setting while still moving a good amount of air. A couple of times I've gone out of the house without even noticing that it was on. The higher settings make it slightly louder but the air movement is crazy for such a cheap, light, and efficient item.

It's a great product, early days yet though.
It was stressful trying to find anywhere that had fans available during the last heatwave. Thankfully after refreshing the Argos website this beauty came up. It's quiet! Powerful on the 2nd and 3rd speed settings. It's only been just over a week since I purchased it and so far impressed. Hope it lasts a long time. It looks sturdy. Was easy to assemble by myself. Looks attractive in my living room/kitchen space. Thank you Argos (special shout out to the kind assistant at Forest Hill click and collect counter for the string so I could secure the box to transport it home).

Its not freely adjustable but can be made shorter.
Because the grey pole at bottom can be removed and just the white pole with attached fan can be fitted directly to base this would make it shorter.
