Sony Bravia TVs praised for excellent picture quality, sound, and build. Some users face app availability issues (BBC iPlayer, ITVX) and find the interface or remote less user-friendly. Soundbars recommended for better audio.

Dependable sony
I bought this to replace a previous Sony Bravia as I was happy with the 1st one. It’s just as good and easy to navigate the remote does most of the thinking for you

Addition
Being extremely satisfied with our existing Sony Bravia we decided to purchase another to fit in our kitchen extension. We’re also pleased with this new model & have no qualms in recommending. Typical Sony quality.

Disgusted
I purchased the tv with the intention to use it to stream when my third party contract finished only to find IPlayer ITVX and 5 have been removed from the TV and can’t be reinstalled. I paid a lot more thinking I was getting a good TV but in reality the cheaper make was far superior in every way, picture, sound and apps. I don’t think I would buy Sony again especially as a Sony technical Rep was assisting the sales person in store. Very disappointed and no response from Sony
null
BBC iPlayer exempt.
I’ve always purchased Sony products, my last TV was a 12 year-old Sony and I just bought the new Sony Bravia 55 inch 2025. To my absolute shock I’m unable to download the BBC iPlayer app I have tried every way what way? I’m 73 years and it’s very important to me and it looks like it’s all Sony‘s problem. I rang the Sony helpline and there was nothing they could do to get the BBC iPlayer iPlayer downloaded. It really begs belief.
Old Timmmer

Bad picture quality.
I brought this tv three weeks ago, had it two days in use & returned it, We had sony bravia tv's for years, but after trying this one, never again. It is the worst picture ever, & be warned if you sit anywhere other than directly in front of it you can hardly see the picture, but that's just our opinion!!!
Not happy one
Does What’s Expected
Purchased this TV to replace a similar sized 6 year old Sony that was accidentally damaged, had been a very good TV. This was the nearest equivalent model I could find. Whilst the new TV pairs its job well, its operating system is different, and it’s taking a little while to get to grips with. As this TV has Bluetooth, I am disappointed that it is not possible to use Bluetooth earphones together with the TV’s own audio output. Also that it doesn’t seem to support two Bluetooth devices, but that may be me not being able to sort it out yet. I’m also disappointed that I can’t use the green button in the BBC programs, to go back to the start of the programs via the iPlayer. As I’m not a “Spring Chicken”, I could probably do with a young person to explain how to use its full potential. Lastly it would have nice to have a printed manual. Particularly as the online manual, that I’ve added to my Kindle library, isn’t interactive, so you can’t click a link to take you to an underlined subject but have to scroll through the 150 pages

Disappointed in picture quality.
This was delivered and installed yesterday but I don't think the picture is any better/sharper than my 11year old LG television it replaced and I paid more for it than I planned to. The picture was a lot better in the store.

Thanks for the reply. The tv is capable of playing a fantastic picture because setting up my Netflix, Amazon, Now TV ect, it said, your tv is running at 1080p, do you want to upgrade for a fee, of course, and now the screen is stunning. So it has the capabilities if you pay in multiple subscriptions. However terrestrial tv is free, and nowhere in the settings can you upgrade the picture quality. Its like viewing tv in 90s - 2003. Please DO NOT BUY this tv. Its really upsetting for the money.
Hello Lisa,
I can advise the following for the Sony Bravia 3 43inch K43S35BP LED HDR 4K Ultra HD Google TV:
You would know if there was a film as it's clearly noted within the packaging and has tabs that you need to pull to remove it. The model here is stated to not have one.
In terms of your issue with the picture quality, we would suggest contact Sony on this to see if it's a display fault, they are best to answer the questions and troubleshooting as it's their product, we are just the selling platform.
Thanks for using Q & A.
