It says it’s the toughest shredder on the market , it gets struck every 3 mins on paper and has to be unjammed , can’t take more than 2 sheets of paper and doesn’t last 30 mins of constant use , I would buy a bonsil make instead . I would not recommend

My last 12C shredder lasted 10 years and only broke through miss use just bought same model
Bought to replace a venerable and overworked older Fellowes model this is an all round improvement: quicker, greater capacity, bigger bin and terrific torque. Great price and service from Argos.

I bought this to replace previous Fellowes Shredder, of similar size, which finally gave up after 15 years plus of first rate service. My immediate experience of this "12-C" is that it will give the same, if not better, long-term service.
Bought as highly recommended but got louder and louder and sounded in trouble, so returned it.

it cannot shred 12 sheets and struggles with 5-6 sheets. Best to limit to 3-4 sheets and it works well. Avoid paper clips otherwise it will take hours to clear. It took me 25 mins to shred 100 sheets
It's quieter than the Ativa shredder. I think It works fast but makes sure everything is shredded before it stops. It also has wheels and is easier to dump.
Came well packed. Seemed a bit flimsy before assembly but rigid enough with collection box fitted. Care needed not to overfill collection box or paper shreds get dragged back into feeder slot & jam the system, which is fiddly to clear. A bit messy to empty as shreds hanging on cutter head fall out when collection box removed. Difficult to manually clear with box half removed. Comparatively very quiet in operation.
Neat size for home / small office and works well, but it's noisy,. The head is heavy and awkward to fit because the plastic bodywork is flimsy and becomes unstable when trying to seat the head on to the base I Bought this as a replacement for the much the same size micro shredder which I had for several years trouble free running until the switch died last week. I 'm doing less work now, soopted for this slightly cheaper cross-cut model instead of re-ordering what I had before. Big mistake. It doesn't have castors, so will be awkward to move. because of its weight and if the head dislodges trying to do so and falls inside the bin, it will go right through the base - this happened to my last one, and the 12C is even weaker. The actual mechanics are excellent, so it's a great shame to spoil an otherwise top- quality product with this nasty plastic body.
Only received this shredder today, but unpacked it and, of course, tried it. Excellent! Compared to my last machine, this one is almost silent and copes with multiple sheets easily. It says it can take 12 sheets at once, but I tried 10 so as not too overheat too quickly. No problem! Test over and I am pleased to say; all is well.
