Very happy with upgrade
I brought this a few weeks ago, very easy to upgrade from Switch 1 to Switch 2. The brightness is quality. The connectivity is fantastic. Very smooth gameplay and home screen. There are not a lot of Switch 2 games but with what is coming i.e. Zelda Ocarina of Time remake and others.

Worthwhile upgrade
After owning the switch lite for a number of years I debated whether upgrading was worth the cost and I can honestly say that the Switch 2 is a great console. Overall this console feels and works better than previous consoles. The responsiveness and smoothness of the buttons, joysticks is greatly improved and the loading times both in game and out is miles better. Have also improved on brightness having no trouble playing outside in direct bright sunlight which was a struggle with the previous console. Had no trouble with battery life, though this may be different with larger games, with a full charge lasting multiple days even at full brightness and long usage. Is slightly heavier than previous consoles which is very noticeable when first using but not to the extent that you cannot play for long periods. Overall would recommend for anyone looking to upgrade, is a hefty price but in the long run is well worth it.

Great features and accessibility from Nintendo
I have a different perspective. I am a totally blind person. I got this in time for Rhythm Paradise Groove's launch day. It arrived the day before. Upon unboxing, you actually have around 50 percent battery in the console, so can immediately begin setup. With help, I got through the wifi setup, got explained how the Joycons work, the software update then downloaded, and once installed and it asked about transferring from a Switch, I did not select an option. Instead, I held Y. At this moment, the console said, text to speech enabled. I was able to complete most of the rest of the setup without help except for the data collection screen. This is because, it turns out that screen's handled by the Eshop, which is not readable with the text to speech on the console. There is, however, a work-around for screen reader users. From here, after signing into my Nintendo account on the web with a computer, I was able to buy Bop It The Videogame which then immediately downloaded to the Switch 2, and when I turned it on, it said there was a new virtual card installed and Bop It was on my home screen ready to go, and this part was fully accessible to manage, popping up and then putting me right on the icon and reading it. Next day, the Rhythm Paradise Groove cartridge arrived. You open up the small case, and you sort of... pop out this square thing. There's a rough bit on the cartridge, keep that pointing away from you, and then, with a nail, feel along the top of the Switch 2. Near the top right just past the 3.5 headphone jack, there's this kind of indentation thing you sort of pull away from you with a fingernail or string finger, and this bit opens. With the rough bit f the cartridge facing towards this new hole and the smoothe bit in your hand you pop it in and push, and then, click. The Switch powered on, said Rhythm Paradise Groove, and away I went. This is Nintendo's first game that has the ability to fully read the menus to you, whilst Tamadochi Life has text to speech, Rhythm Paradise Groove will start talking to you the moment the game's first screen loads, and, I can confidently say, hand over heart, this is the most fun I've had with a Nintendo system in years, I just hope they make more accessible games for it, and I don't know how often that will happen. I must be over ten hours into Rhythm Paradise Groove. Now, for a review, I'm not here to praise the whole time. I'll get into some slight sticky bits. To be honest, the software's Text to speech could be better. The glaring ommission is that data screen on the setup process, it just does not read, so you've got the text to speech on but then still have to ask for help. If the Eshop read, it'd fix so many problems. Then, there's another quality of life feature: as of the time of writing, it only tells you the battery level under two conditions: 1, you either plug in, or unplug the console, that's the quickest way, it announces it each time the wire goes in or out. 2, you hold down the home button, let it read quick settings to you and then it starts reading the status bar and battery level. I wish there was a shortcut to just announce battery level on the fly. Apart from that, Nintendo did good. Argos delivered very fast.

Good Upgrade
The Switch 2 in simple terms an upgraded Switch. The original games run fine and load faster. You have the up to 4K resolution and HDR, but if you're only playing older games then turning off HDR and have the it 1080p or 1440p for the best settings. It's heavier then I expected, but is more comfortable then the OG Switch due to the larger size.

Both the original switch and switch 2 connect to the tv using HDMI, so in that sense they are the same.
However there are some technical differences so the cables themselves are not interchangeable.
