The 1.5l stainless steel body holds about 6 cups, and the powerful 3000W element boils water quickly. The pull-off lid makes filling easy, while the removable, washable limescale filter keeps every cup fresh. Boil-dry protection switches it off if empty, and the 360-degree base lets you lift and place it from any angle, whether left or right-handed.

Stunning retro look and colour
Love the colour and the retro look. Looks great in our newly decorated kitchen with the matching toaster beside it. Books quickly but is a little noisier than our last kettle.

Attractive Kettle
I do love my kettle. It goes well in my kitchen and I have matching toaster. The on off switch broke after 3 months of purchase which was disappointing but, I just took it back to the shop I purchased from and exchanged it for a new one so, all good again. Hopefully this one doesn't break after 3 months.

Exceptional kettle.
Bought to replace another make of top handle kettle that I didn’t think was beatable . This however is excellent! It is quiet , swift to boil, very comfortable to handle and pours perfectly. Its body is metal so no chance of degrading flakes of plastic as it ages. I focus on functionality over looks but this is an attractive kettle too so it ticks all the 5 star boxes.

Haven't retro kettle just what I needed, goes well
I bought a kettle previously, I only had it 3 days and did all relivent things followed instructions, but still didn't boil hot enough to have a decent cup of tea ,purchase harden from Argos and it been working perfectly

Very pleased with my purchase of Haden Retro Jersey Kettle - Putty. I particularly like the fact it can boil small amounts of water if needed (past kettles minimum level was always too high for one or two hot drinks) therefore saving water. Boiling small amounts of water means it boils quicker which saves electricity and it is relatively quiet. A spare filter is included. Ergonomics works well, the position of the handle makes it easy to pour. I was un-sure if the colour would work as the photo made it look pinkish, which it is not, it suits in my white and light grey coloured kitchen. Would recommend.

It does and it's designed to do that, but it doesn't sit flush on it. Though that may be because it's still new.

If youve purchased it over 30 days ago, it is out of the Argos guarantee therfore you would have to go back to the manufacturer as the 2 years warranty will be with them not Argos

I can confirm the kettle itself is cordless but the base is corded. So the kettle sits on top of the base and boils, which is where the power comes through. Then you can take the kettle wherever you want once it is boiled.

The lid itself is stainless but there is an insert in the top that forms the handle. From above the top looks like a black plastic disc with a stainless border
