Mixed feelings.
Purchased this microwave due to its ease of cleaning, can’t complain on that front. Although seems whatever I microwave despite using the deodorization there’s still a smell left behind and also very steamy regardless of what it’s used for. Very nice looking and the display screen is blue which I prefer to our previous red one.

Does what you need from a microwave
We needed a new microwave and this was the one we went with. I like Samsung products generally so that was a factor in the decision making. This isn't a high tech top notch micowave but after having if for a good few weeks now with regular use it's doing it's job. No complaints.

You need good eye sight to read and use the control panel. Buttons are black along with the panel so would have been good with back light. Instruction leaflet is very brief and poor and you have to download the full manual. Once aforementioned sorted, the unit works well.

You dont have to use the 30 sec button to set the cooking times.
Just Select the appropriate power level by
pressing the Up or Down button. And then press the Select/Clock button. Set the cooking time by pressing the Up
or Down button.

Yes, you can set the defrost time yourself; by choosing the power level and the time you want to use it for.
There is a quick defrost option too,
The Quick Defrost features enable you to defrost meat, poultry, fish, frozen vegetable and frozen bread.
The defrost time and power level are set automatically.
You simply select the programme and the weight.

Once you unplug the mw you will have to reset the clock as it defaults to 12.00 on the 24h clock. If you dont need the clock just press eco bottom button..the clock disappears.

I can advise that, no you would not need to reset the microwave clock each time it is unplugged. You would only need to reset the clock on your microwave after you perform a hard reset.
