I bought a pair of these toʻ match my existing ones. They were on offer so a very good price. I have had the original ones for severa years l and they are durable still look good. I wish they came with ready made drain holes.

Completely Impractical design
We returned for 3 main reasons: 1) the 'lip' that forms the planter rim simply turns downwards leaving an invisible upside-down channel which provides the perfect haven for snails/slugs to hide right next to their food source; 2) the same 'lip' is also sharp and given the obvious way to lift these when full is by the edges, it would cause injury; 3) The 'lip' is also inside the pot which means that once planted, it would be near impossible to remove a plant for re-potting once established. The plastic is also very thin and I doubt it would stand up to being moved about.

Look good
I haven't used these yet, but they look good and are lightweight. They give the appearance of being more expensive and a look of stone. I intend to put artificial trees in them and there is plenty room for adding weight to anchor the trees. Fair price.

Large pots at a good price
I needed two large pots and two smaller ones, so the Argos price was a good saving for me. The pots were of equal quality to others available of that design. They could be moved fully planted without feeling they would break. Should survive frosts, pleased with the purchase.

Yes, I have these planters I used a large bore drill bit to drill holes - was easy to do- all my plants from last year are still doing well! Love these planters , I just wished they made an even bigger one

The larger container takes 2 bags 28L of John Innes No.3 to fill 10cm below the top. So thats 56L just for the large container!

Hi,
I think I used a 60L or maybe more peat free compost for both. I have two sets.
Handy tip and cost saving. These containets do not have feet. I screwed black door stoppers as feet on each courner to lift it off the ground. You can buy a pack of 10 from screw fix for a couple
of quid. Hope this helps.

The ones I bought were a medium and a large which is good because once plants start growing you can repot into the larger planter.
