About this product
The Roberts Play 10 brings DAB and FM radio to any room with a compact design that fits on a kitchen worktop, bedroom shelf, or bathroom windowsill without taking up much space. When you switch it on, it automatically scans and tunes all available stations so you're ready to listen in seconds. You can store 6 favourites as presets, making it easy to jump between Radio 2, your local station, or whatever you like. It's portable and runs on mains power or 4 x AA batteries (not included), so you can move it around without interrupting your listening.
The headphone socket lets you listen without disturbing anyone, while the 0.7 watts RMS output is designed for personal listening at close range. RDS scrolling text keeps you informed of what's playing on digital stations, and the auto time update means the clock stays accurate without you having to fiddle with it. There's a USB port for external connection, and the auto tune and scan features sort out station setup without any hassle. It comes with a 1-year manufacturer's guarantee.

Argos is the only place I could find my favourite Roberts portable radio. In fact bought two, one for the kitchen and one for the bedroom. Sound is good and I like chosing my favourite stations as presets. So much easier to find. Batteries can work out quite expensive, so I generally plug it in. A great little radio!

Good lightweight radio
We have very poor reception in our house . Our old radio stopped receiving stations. Read a review which said DAB was becoming harder to receive but DAB+ was better. Our Dad always rated Roberts so decided on this radio. Its been great so far .We can get reception in most rooms. We use as a portable and fixed. We were looking for a make that had a plug supplied not just a cable and this fits the bill. Tuning was iffy but you must return settings to factory before tuning- helps to read instructions before you fire up radio. Very pleased excellent. Sound quality is clear.

How do I get a refund?????
Extremely disappointing radio. Bought on 20th May 2026 from Argos (Sainsbury's in Hazel Grove, Stockport). Last week it suddenly stopped transmitting music. I read up online and this seems to be a common issue. Not worth the £40 I paid for it. A Repair or refund would be great.
