About this product
The Roberts Rambler Uno is a portable DAB and FM radio that brings retro style to your days out, weekends away, or pottering around the house. With bamboo panels and aluminium controls, it looks great whether you're in the kitchen or packing for a road trip. DAB delivers crisp reception with 20 preset stations, so your favourite shows are always ready. Bluetooth lets you stream from your mobile, and the travel lock switch prevents accidental activation in your bag. It runs on mains power or 4 x AA batteries (not included), so you can take it anywhere.
The headphone socket is brilliant for personal listening when you don't want to disturb anyone, and the bass and treble controls let you tweak the sound to your liking. RDS scrolling text keeps you informed on DAB, while the sleep timer is handy if you like drifting off to late-night radio. Auto tune and auto scan make setup dead simple, and the auto time update means you'll never need to fiddle with the clock. At around 11cm tall and 18cm wide, it's compact enough to slip into a tote bag but substantial enough to feel well-made. Comes with a 2-year manufacturer's guarantee.

The Radio Equivalent of Beige
It's ok. It's not bad and it's not great. It's the radio equivalent of beige technologically speaking. I don't think it's held out to be more than that. I bought it only because I didn't want to spend hundreds of pounds on a kitchen radio and I didn't trust cheaper options. I was funnelled toward this Roberts radio on the basis of my self-imposed selection criteria. If you have the same criteria I doubt you'll be disappointed by this model. It looks good too.

Great radio, great sound.
Really happy with this radio. It was easy to set the preset stations and extremely easy to access your favourite 2 stations. The sound is excellent, especially from such a small radio. One of the reasons for the purchase was to use Bluetooth which was easy to set up and again sounds great.

Works only on the window
So disappointed, bought this radio and it so weak, it has to be only on the window otherwise no signal. Have cheap old radio which works everywhere in the house, but new fancy and expensive radio doesn’t…

Hello Ju,

Hello there,
The Roberts Rambler Uno Bluetooth/DAB+/FM Radio - Duck Egg will not recharge rechargeable batteries.
Thank you for using Q and A.
The radio will recharge NiMH rechargeable batteries. N.B. I believe there is a switch inside the battery compartment that needs to be set depending on whether you are using NiMH rechargeable batteries or non-rechargeable batteries such as alkaline.
