Meet the first Barbie doll with type 1 diabetes! Barbie partnered with Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF) to design a doll that celebrates this community.
To manage her type 1 diabetes, Barbie uses an insulin pump and a continuous glucose monitor (CGM). To keep her CGM in place, she has heart-shaped medical tape -- Barbie pink, of course!
Her phone displays a CGM app to help Barbie track her blood sugar levels throughout the day. This way, she stays healthy and is ready for a fun adventure anytime, anywhere!

Amazing collectors item as well as great toy
I bought this to add to a collection of Barbies with long term conditions that have come out recently. This Barbie is really nice and beautiful with no flaws. It was also quick and easy to buy and collect with Argos.

Making a little girl very happy after diagnosis
I was asked if I could get a Barbie for a friend in the Czech Republic for her daughter who had just been diagnosed with diabetes. I travel there for work and Barbie went through customs. Plane, train, tram and bus to the office and hey presto one very happy mum who gave Barbie as a main present to her daughter on her birthday. Argos were brilliant as they had sold out almost everywhere, and messaged me on the app when she was next in stock on the UK. Thanks Argos..

Perfect gift for my (type 1 diabetic) daughter
Even though my daughter is almost 35 and was diagnosed at age 13 I thought she’d like this. It’s a brilliant doll, has been well researched too. I’m hoping it might encourage my daughter to get the insulin pump she’s being offered! Also, Argos price was the cheapest I’d found - some online suppliers were attempting to charge nearly 5 times as much!!
