The ClearWater Spa Chemical Starter Kit is the utmost starter chemical package for inflatable hot tub care. The package is designed especially for Lay-Z-Spa hot tubs but can be used on any and all home spas. Included are a variety of products that enable the user to properly maintain and protect their spa. The guide even comes with an FAQ guide that will talk you though testing your spa's chemical levels as well as administering the supplied products.

Great starter set
This is a great starter set and everything you need to start using a lazy spa hot tub. I’ve since had to buy more tests strips but there are enough chemicals to keep us going for a couple of months - we’ve not had to use much of anything other than chlorine.

The supplier has advised the following on the Clearwater Hot Tub Chemical Starter Kit:
“ The amount of chemicals added will impact how long the customer will need to wait to use the Hot Tub, If the customers follow the instructions and use a larger dose to prepare the water for the first usage, they may need to wait up to 24 hours for the chlorine levels to drop to the correct level. ”

A hot tub float can only be used with chlorine or bromine tablets. This kit uses granules so wouldn't be suitable.

No - you need to get chlorine tablets. This comes with granules.
The pH+/pH- and testing strips would be useful for you though. You can also use the chlorine granules from this set. Just disolve some in a jug of your spa water then pour in and leave bubbles on for a few minutes to mix.
You need to chlorine tablets. It's the granules in this pack. I prefer granules. They dissolve quicker
I have a float to dose the chlorine and this is better and more consistent and requires less work. You will need to buy chlorine tablets to go in this though and this multi pack doesn't include them. The other chemicals (ph and foam reducer) you can.

We have a clever spa, onyx, but the chemicals will work on any as you add them directly to the water .
