Didn’t work with my system (they do in other territories). Argos didn’t want to refund me which is against 2013 distance selling regs as I collected from a pick up point. My advice is to purchase elsewhere and avoid this outdated shop at all costs.

Unreliable details on website and poor support
Firstly, to describe these as wireless is misleading. There is no cable to the soundbar, but a fairly bulky cable is required between the two speakers as only the left one has a wireless connection - so these are much messier in the room than fully wireless speakers. The data on the website is also potentially misleading about which soundbars they are compatible with. When I bought these, the website showed 11 different soundbars as being compatible, including my HW-S700D/XU (see attached screenshot), but on delivery it became apparent that this combination doesn't work. The Samsung telephone support "experts" were pretty useless at trying to deal with this and the speakers had eventually to be returned - and even that was a very painful process that required persistent escalation. They have now modified the compatibility list to show only 5 compatible soundbars - presumably after a lot of complaints from owners of the other 6 models - after my experiences though, I would be reluctant to trust that they work even with these five models.

No, the Samsung SWA-9250S 2Ch is not compatible with the HW-S700D soundbar. The SWA-9250S 2Ch is primarily designed for selected 2025 and earlier B-series and Q600-series models.

The Samsung SWA-9250S 2Ch surround speakers are not compatible for direct connection to a Yamaha amplifier.
These speakers are part of a proprietary wireless rear speaker kit and are designed to work only with specific compatible Samsung soundbar models via Samsung’s wireless receiver system. They do not have standard speaker terminals and cannot be wired directly to an AV receiver or amplifier, regardless of wattage output.
If you’re looking to connect surround speakers directly to your Yamaha amp, you would need passive wired speakers that are designed for standard AV receiver connections.
