Excellent ereader and the physical buttons make it easier to navigate pages. Coming from a long time kindle user Haven't used the full colour scheme capability yet but will be handy with cookbooks etc

My son loves it
Bought this for my son. He loves it. He download books, magazines and his music sheets. It's in colour. It's light, nice to hold, long battery, easy on the eye. It's good.

Good Features, Needs Refinement
The Kobo Libra Colour is a good e-reader with useful colour highlighting and comfortable design, but it does not feel fully refined. Battery life is weaker than expected for an e-reader and requires more frequent charging. Screen refresh can feel slow at times and would benefit from better optimisation. Gesture controls are limited and not always intuitive. Waking the device feels sluggish and interrupts the reading flow. BorrowBox integration is missing for UK users, which is a significant omission. Dark mode is only available inside books and not across the full system. The screen does not dim enough for comfortable reading in complete darkness. The device does not reliably return to the last reading page after viewing highlights or annotations.

Competent not outstanding
I bought this to replace a Kobo Libra H2O, because that reader’s batter doesn’t last very long. This device suffers from the same issues. Books borrowed from the library can only be downloaded, if they are available to purchase from the Kobo bookstore. Deleting books that have been read is very hit and miss, because the ellipsis (…) to access the menu is so small. The colour screen is muddy, not as good as a mediocre phone, or tablet.

After comparing different models I settled on the Kobo Libra. I love that I can purchase books directly on the device but also upload my own epubs and articles via Google drive and instapaper.
