Good entry level product
Very good entry level product . Is a nice small size , making it very versatile , very light . It's that small , I wondered if they had given me the right parcel ! Easy set up , easy to operate . Connected to monitor and I can watch my blu rays again , my original appliance will now only play dvd ( common laser issue ). Overall a good little unit but still expensive for what it is .

Good but a little noisy when playing dvds
Works well & looks nice, however the noise when dvds are playing is quite high pitched & a little annoying as can be heard all the time unless the tv volume is high.

Hi,
Thank you for your question.
No, the BDP-S1700/K is region coded- which means that it can only play discs from the same region as purchased.
The player has a region code printed on the bottom of the unit and will only play BD-ROMs/DVD VIDEOs labelled with identical region codes. So, if you purchase your player in Europe (region B)- it will only play region B discs. You can find the full specifications here: https://cutt.ly/BrQfpqn6...

Hi David,
thank you for your question.
Yes, the BDP-S1700/K remembers the stop point (resume point). The resume point for a title/track is the last point you played, or the last photo for a photo folder. However, if you open the disc tray, disconnect the USB device, play other content, or turn off the player, the resume point may be cleared from memory.
