Not the best laptop I've had, I have had performance problems with Firefox which I installed on its Windows 11 OS. I have deleted most of the supplied HP bloatware which was of little use. The laptop itself is well made and I do like the keyboard. It does take a long time to recharge the battery which doesn't last very long.

Good, with a couple of small niggles
I needed a new laptop in a hurry and this one seemed to tick all of the boxes. I'm not a gamer, but I do like to have a number of pages open at once, together with Word documents and Excel spreadsheets, and I do need to be able to move swiftly between them all. l Initially, I thought I'd made a mistake, as the fan was constantly working and it was hanging between pages, but it was just setting up and I had no issues at all after the first day. The screen is nice and clear, and battery life is reasonable. I'm not a massive fan of the touch pad, as I do prefer one with separate buttons, and I have found that it is very reactive, as I keep zooming in on pages when I don't mean to. I thought it was just me being heavy-handed, but others have had the same issue. That said, I would buy this again in an heartbeat. so that says a lot. Happy to recommend.

The device has a fingerprint reader for login but you can still log in with password, pin or have no password at all should you wish.
For people sharing a device, you can set up both of your Microsoft accounts as separate users so each user can log in to their own profile if you wish - using any of the above methods.
