Functionality When Disconnected
The watch connects to the iPad via Bluetooth and relies on this connection for most "smart" features. When away from the iPad and out of Bluetooth range (about 10 meters), the following applies:
Time and Basic Functions: The watch will continue to display the correct time (if synced periodically) and basic features like the alarm clock will still work.
Activity Tracking: Built-in sensors like the step counter and heart rate monitor will still track data throughout the day. This data is stored on the watch and will sync to the Tikkers Time app on your child's iPad when it is back within range.
GPS: The watch does not have built-in cellular or independent GPS connectivity; it uses a "connected GPS" feature, which means it tethers to the iPad's GPS for location tracking during activities. This feature will not work when the watch is away from the iPad.
Notifications and Controls: Features such as call alerts, message notifications, music control, and the remote camera control function rely entirely on the Bluetooth connection to the iPad and will not work when disconnected.
