Lime scale shows on base within a few days. Doesn't look good for this reason also wish I’d bought a taller more elegant looking one!

Limescale is built up from the water provided, however the Russell Hobbs Illuminated Matte Black Kettle 27550, does have a limescale filter so that this is not transferred to your drinks.
Limescale may build up and need to be removed in most kettles.

Our supplier has advised: The whole of the lid and spout is in fact plastic. It would come in contact with the steam from the Kettle as it's closed to keep the water from spilling out.
