Bought about a month ago. Bought the filter kettle as it filters the water you put in it . Less scale build up in the kettle.

A reliable kettle
I purchased this kettle a few weeks ago and have been mostly impressed with its functionality and capacity. The kettle works very well and I like the ‘1 cup’ option - which is perfect when that’s all you want. The only downside is the size of the spout which means there is a slight limit on how much water you can pour out at one time.

High hold to pour. Quite loud, but quick. Nice looking and easy to see how much water inside.

Boils quickly. Very quiet. Good capacity. I like the illumination. Lid catch is a bit flimsy. I empty the kettle each day to prevent a build up of moisture/scale.

Limescale is built up from the water provided, however the Russell Hobbs Illuminated Matte Black Kettle 27550, does have a limescale filter so that this is not transferred to your drinks.
Limescale may build up and need to be removed in most kettles.
