I bought this 6 weeks ago, it is easy to fill, bolis quickly, but notmeh so quietly and looks fabulous when first descaled, unfortunately because it is glass needs descaling at least once a week!

Form AND Function in a kettle
I bought this a few weeks ago and it’s great! Love the leaf to show where eco one cup level is. Love watching the blue lit bubbles as it boils. Glass body is great (might be heavy for some), and general design. Brilliant.

Stylish illuminating kettle ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Stylish illuminating kettle, in black matte. Kettle isn't too loud when in use. The fact it's transparent allow to see how much water is in the kettle and if there is enough for the task that is needed which usually is making a cup of tea. The fact it's transparent also allow to see if any residue has built up inside and if it needs a descaler if it is in need of a clean on the inside. Added bonus with it being transparent is that the heating element is incorporated into the base of kettle out of sight and isn't in sight which would probably be a put off for me.

Aesthetically pleasing and would fit with most decors. Large capacity but with the ability to boil just one cupful of water. Easy to wipe clean interior to keep scale away for longer

Limescale is built up from the water provided, however the Russell Hobbs Illuminated Matte Black Kettle 27550, does have a limescale filter so that this is not transferred to your drinks.
Limescale may build up and need to be removed in most kettles.

Our supplier has advised: The whole of the lid and spout is in fact plastic. It would come in contact with the steam from the Kettle as it's closed to keep the water from spilling out.
