I bought this to replace my previous hot water dispenser, which had gone wrong. This is a slightly smaller capacity model, but it is perfect for two people. It is much quicker and more efficient than a kettle for making a couple of hot drinks and ideal in the kitchen when needing, e.g., a small amount of stock for a recipe. Although it has only one measure, it is ample for a large mug and the 'stop' button makes it easy to use it for smaller measures. Stylish and compact, it is the perfect addition to my kitchen.

Review of Breville Hotwater dispenser
Having had a larger version of water boiler by breville wanted a more ergonomic version that doesn't take up too much of limited work surface space. It is really efficient and was packaged well and delivered promptly.

Great machine
Bought this for my elderly mother as she struggles with boiling kettles, and this machine is brilliant! Boils very quickly, water nice and hot and fills a mug almost to the top. Easy to operate, nothing complicated, and it looks smart as well. Thinking of getting one for myself!

I can confirm that the appliance does bring water to boiling point (100°C) internally during operation. However, due to heat loss during dispensing, the temperature of the water measured approximately 10mm from the nozzle is typically around 95°C to 98°C.I hope this helps.

Dimension-wise a pan should fit easily as without the drip tray the height up to the nozzle is 16 cm. However, it may not be very easy to fill it since every time you press the start button, the machine will dispense one glass of water (about 250 ml). Thus, you may have to press the button a few times to fill the pan

This model does not have variable amount feature and it will dispense 250 ml of water but you can stop at any time! So, if you need less water, you can press stop button and have less amount of water.

The measurement is 14.3cm but you can also get more room by removing the drip tray which is magnetic and the space is then 16cm which should be fine for a travel mug.
