About this product
The Samsung DW60M6050FS combines generous space and thoughtful design to make washing up easy. With 14 place settings, there's room for all your dishes, glasses and cutlery after a big meal. The flexible third rack provides space at the top for cutlery and utensils, freeing the baskets below for plates and bowls. With 7 programmes including Eco, Intensive, Delicate, Quick 30-minute wash, and Auto, you have the right cycle for every load. At 44dB, it runs quietly, and the LCD display shows time remaining and refill indicators.
The adjustable top basket lets you create extra room when you need to fit larger plates and pans, whilst flexible tines make loading simple whatever you're washing. The condensation drying system delivers A-rated drying performance, so everything comes out ready to put away. With A-rated cleaning performance, E-rated energy efficiency and 10.5L water consumption per eco cycle, it handles the hard work whilst keeping running costs manageable. The child lock adds peace of mind, and salt and rinse aid indicators mean you'll always know when it's time to top up.

Poor design
We brought this as we like the idea of the cutlery draw leaving more space below. There lies the problem. We have standard ikea plates (as do most people) the lack of height means that the cleaning arm for the cup level keeps hitting the plates/ttrays and not cleaning the top layer. Also you can’t get all pots and trays in at an angle either as the same problem happens. It is an economical machine until you have to put it on again to do a second wash. I wouldn’t buy again especially for the price!!

Very pleased with our new purchase good performance and very quite good capacity and would think it uses less energy than the previous older one we had but we not going to knock it as it worked trouble free for 11 years

Unreliable machine
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What can I say, avoid this machine. It looks like Samsung also knows of the fault by the reviews left. I have had this machine for 2 and a half years and 6 months of that it remained in its packaging whilst my house was being renovated. I thought paying a little extra to have a good quality brand it would last much longer than this. It’s now flooded my kitchen and there is no issues regarding the seal, blocked filter and the outlet pipe blocked. Feel very let down by this machine.

I regret buying this rubbish. I chose the wrong one!! The programme is 3 hours 45minutes! There is a one hour programme which does not do a very good job. Even on the full programme the dishes etc are still wet.

A sincere warning.
WARNING - I've had this dishwasher for a matter of weeks before it started flooding my kitchen. I've had to pay plumbers to rectify damage caused to the machine by Samsung upon installation, and the machine still regularly leaked and ran without putting any water in. After escalating the issue to Samsung for over 4 months, they sent an engineer in, who removed half a peanut from below the filter (which has excessively long and wide gaps in, enough to probably fit a piece of penne through), and claimed that the half a peanut was the reason my kitchen was flooding regularly. Save yourself a few hundred pounds and buy elsewhere.

I've just checked the back of my dishwasher and I do not see any cardboard at all. I would expect you need to remove it. Cardboard is classed as a combustible therefore its unlikely something that should remain attached to an appliance.

Having checked with the manufacturer, they have confirmed that you may extend the pipe of the dishwasher. You'd just need to use the correct size, type, and quality of extension hose, and suitable joining pieces. We don't sell these but they can be purchased from many suitable reputable hardware retailers.
