Problems in 15 days
I bought the breast pump and started using it 15 days ago, and it's having suction problems. The power decreases and sometimes it even stops working. I bought it in advance believing it would be the best investment, and now I can't feed my son.

Poor sizing
This pump only comes with 24mm shield. There are no inserts to change size like other pumps I’ve had. Would have needed to buy a smaller shield but not sold by Argos or Medela!

Does the job
I pump twice a day to combo feed (my baby is 3 weeks old), and while this is far better than using a manual pump (you get more milk and it’s less painful), I wish I had just paid a bit more and got the double pump. It’s difficult to multitask while pumping without dislodging it, so it is fine for doing seated tasks for 40 mins or so, but if you need to get up to change a nappy etc, you can loose suction which is annoying and messy so it would be better if it was done sooner with the double pump.

Disappointing and Leaky
I bought this breastpump around 4 months ago, encouraged by the reviews and sadly cannot echo them after having tried multiple times to make sure it's the product and not something I am doing wrong. The pump only works sometimes - and not for want of full enough breasts, mind you. I am faster hand expressing, which also happens to be a lot cheaper. It also leaks (I made sure it wasn't me putting the cup together incorrectly). Really disappointed in this product.

Great so far
I purchased this as I had a manual pump by found it tricky to get round to using. This pump has been great, less uncomfortable than the manual pump and very easy to use.

Very well made
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The breast pump looks very well made and it has all the information inside how to use it and take care of it. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to test it.I was planning to use it but then I gave up on the idea and continued breastfeeding only.

Practical and lightweight
I have been using the Modela solo hands free breast pump since my baby was born and I love it. It is easy to use and doesn't take long to charge. It comes apart very easily for cleaning and it is comfortable to use. There are adjustable settings on the pump so your can get a draw that suits you best. I use it maybe 8 times per day and it has been super reliable. You definitely get what you pay for! I would recommend this to anybody.

Simple, effective!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve loved using this pump. It was super easy to setup and use, no faff! The pump itself is super effective and powerful despite it being portable. I’m able to get jobs done while pumping.

Mum friendly gadget
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently got my hands on the Medela Solo Hands-Free Breast Pump, courtesy of Influenster. What I really appreciate about it is how it's less fidgety than juggling two pumps at a time. The hands-free design allows me to pump without the hassle of managing multiple devices, making the process more streamlined and manageable. Adjusting the suction strength for comfort is straightforward, and the battery life impressively lasts through multiple sessions. It's compact and easy to assemble, making it practical for on-the-go use. Overall, it's a reliable and practical choice, and I appreciate Influenster for letting me try it out!

Hi GJ,
I have checked the manual for the Medela Solo Hands-Free Single Breast Pump, and it states below how to clean it.
First, rinse off your pumping equipment with drinking-quality water (at around 20 °C/68 °F), to remove any milk proteins left behind.
Then wash all parts with warm water (approximately 30 °C/86 °F) and washing-up liquid.
Rinse the parts again with drinking-quality water for 15 to 20 seconds.
Alternatively, you can wash the pump parts in the top rack of your dishwasher using your usual detergent. Smaller parts can be placed in the cutlery section. Make sure breast milk bottles, breast shields and teats are facing downwards.
Dry the equipment with a clean cloth or leave to air-dry on a clean tea towel.
Thank you for using Q & A.
