About this product
Block out unwanted light with this blackout roller blind that gives you complete darkness whenever you need. Whether enjoying a lie-in or catching up on sleep during the day, it keeps your room dark by blocking light from streetlamps, passing cars, and early morning sun. The crisp white finish suits any room style, and it's easy to install with all fixtures included. You can trim it to size, and the mechanism fits on either side to suit your window. It's designed for windows inside or outside the recess, or you can fix it directly to the wall.
The blind comes with a P clip that keeps the chain securely in place for child safety, meeting 2014 blind safety standards BS EN 13120. The fabric provides complete blackout, and any creases from packaging will drop out within 48 hours of hanging. The PVC bottom rail adds weight for smooth operation, and the wipe-clean surface makes maintenance simple and quick. Please note To ensure child safety and comply with health and safety requirements, always fit P clips or cleats when installing these blinds to keep cords and chains secure and out of reach.

Bought this to replace my previous blind and to be honest I thought it was flimsy, the metal roller bar was very thin, the attachments kept falling every time I tried to fit it into the wall brackets. I wouldn’t buy one of these again.

I bought the 60cm blind to fit onto the back of a glass panel internal door to block light coming into a bedroom. It was easy to fit and just about covers the glass. I found this blind was a quick and economical solution. The blind itself works well, but feels quite thin and fragile. I would recommend it's good value for the low price paid.

The Argos Home Blackout Black Roller Blind - 60cm (708/4971) can be significantly trimmed in width to fit smaller windows, often up to 10–14 cm or more in total, as long as the fabric does not catch on the mechanism. The aluminum roller tube and fabric can be cut using a hacksaw and sharp scissors.

The width measurement includes both the fabric width and the brackets.
The allowance for the brackets is 3cm in total and the blind requires 19mm fittings.
For the actual width of the blind, please subtract 3cm.
The item is supplied with 4 standard 30mm screws.
