I used this over the top of slate grey paint and it ended up looking silvery which is what was wanted ...brilliant paint ..more like clear varnish and dries quite quickly.

Our supplier says "The Glitter brush applied finish can be applied to wood, metal and plastic. Bare metal and wood should be primed prior to painting and we would also suggest testing on a small area to check adhesion and compatibility.
With regards to the surface temperature, the glitter can be applied to surfaces that achieve a temperature where you could safely touch with your hand (approx. 60oc-70oc), if the surface is too hot to touch then it will be too hot to apply the glitter"

Rust-Oleum Glitter Special Effect Paint 125ml - Silver can be used on most surfaces as a gloss top finish.
If it can be tried on a non-visible area first then this would be advantageous.
