Great sound quality, easy to connect.
The sound quality is good and you can't hear much outside of the headphones. The bluetooth connects well, with or without the usb. The buttons are smooth and easy to locate. I like how when the mic is positioned up, no sound goes through it and it makes a noise when the mic is turned on or off. The charger is good quality and durable. Annoying how the headphone padding for the top of the head isn't fixed and moves about, however, it is adjustable, but the actual headphone size isn't and it's a little complicated to work out.

Exceptional Sound & Comfort. Premium Experience.
The Corsair HS80 Max RGB headset offers excellent sound and mic quality, comfort, and durability. My favourite feature is the exceptional battery life - lasting up to 130 hours! The auto shut-off feature helps preserve battery life. Although it lacks multi-device pairing and has a plastic headband, the positives far outweigh the negatives. If you’re looking for a high-quality gaming headset that has a PREMIUM feel, the HS80 Max is definitely worth considering. Here’s a more in-depth review of some of the features: Comfort is another strong suit. The fabric ear pads are breathable and allow for extended use, although they do let in some sound. The headset features a "floating headband" design, allowing for the perfect fit and making them comfortable to wear for long periods. I'm a glasses-wearer and there's no issue with fit or comfort while I'm wearing both glasses and the headset. The mic delivers excellent audio quality, but the rigid stem doesn't allow you to move it closer to your mouth. My gaming friends have said that, for occasional mic-breathers like myself, this makes party chat more bearable. Muting is easy - just lift the stalk and the LED turns red. The only issue is that you can't see this indicator light while wearing the headset. The sound quality is impressive, with a dynamic range of at least 72dBFS. I'm in my mid-30s, and it covers my hearing range of 20-14k dB, providing an enhanced listening experience. The RGB lighting can be customised using Corsair’s iCUE software. While it doesn't enhance the listening experience, it adds a "cool factor," which would work well for streamers. I connected the headset to a MacBook (M3 Pro) and a PS5. Support for MacBook seems limited, so I had to figure things out myself. When connecting to the PS5, I initially had no luck until I restarted the console. After the restart, the headphones were recognised by the dongle. The volume control is intuitive and easy to find on the left ear, with a two-beep tone indicating maximum and minimum volume. Pairing with my devices was a little challenging due to limited box instructions. As a MacBook user, I initially had difficulties. The supplied USB dongle and charge cable are standard USB, but my laptop requires USB-C, so a conversion device might be necessary for some users. The build quality is solid. The ear cups swivel flat, which could help prevent potential tears in the fabric padding. The cushions are firm and well-made, but unfortunately, the plastic headband detracts from the otherwise premium feel. An aluminium headband would have been a nice touch. The headset comes with minimal documentation and a 1.8m USB charging cable but lacks a storage bag or carry case, which would have been helpful. The box they came in is well constructed and has a padded lid for extra protection, so I’m going to keep that box to store them in when they aren’t being used. Overall, the Corsair HS80 Max RGB headset is a high-quality option for gamers, offering excellent sound, mic quality, comfort, and durability.

Good headset (Not meant for Xbox users )
Don’t get me wrong by the title of review , it’s a good headset , but it’s just not for Xbox (as Xbox doesn’t support most of the wireless headsets ) , so I just wanted to make it clear from the beginning (in case you have Xbox and were thinking to buy). First of all , they are of excellent build quality and look nice . And having the premium looks doesn’t make them heavy for your head , the adjustable band and cushions on it takes away the load entirely and make them feel lightweight . I wore them for many hours and never did I feel that it’s hurting ears or head . Talking about it as gaming headsets , it worked well via Bluetooth on Nintendo switch , the sound was excellent, you could hear sounds with details. The only turn-off for me was Xbox connectivity , and again Corsair HS80Max are not to blame here , it’s just Xbox thing ! However you can still connect them to your TV via Bluetooth (if your TV supports Bluetooth ! It will not work via USB /2.5Ghz stick for TV ) and play your Xbox games , but I think there is a difference in that. HS80 Max also has excellent battery , it will run for weeks for an average every day use . Talking about battery , it comes with a USB-C charging cable and it doesn’t have any wireless charging .For general purpose use like phone calls , music listening , it supports that as well . Call quality feels way superior , also good noise cancelling from the mic . The mic supports flip to mute , which is nice touch . You can skip or rewind songs as well using the buttons . It has a volume adjuster , and then a dedicated Bluetooth connectivity button . You can go through Corsair site for user manual , the box itself doesn’t have much details . Because it’s meant to be wireless headsets , it comes with the usb stick , so that you can connect it to your PC or Mac (yes) that doesn’t have Bluetooth connectivity by default . It does RGB lighting support , but you will need to configure it via their PC/Mac app. The PC/MAC software of theirs also allows you to change the EQ and stuff of headset .

AMAZING HEADSET
Great quality headset, ive been using these for over a week now (couple of hours every day) and battery is still going from its initial charge. The sound is immersive and clear the Dolby Atmos is great. The headset is very light and and comfortable to wear for long sessions and the fabric earmuffs are great for comfort and stop ears from getting hot and sweaty .Setting up is a breeze it comes with a dongle for the ps5 and a charging cable. the design of headset is really good theres minimal buttons for ease of use -one bluetooth/multi control button on right ear and a on/offbutton and volume wheel on left ear and mic is switched on/off by lowering or raising the mic arm.overall very simple to set up, very simple to use, and has great quality Dolby Atmos sound for gaming and other format uses and mic is great and picks up voices really clearly. highly recommended

Hardcore gamers go to headphone
As a longtime fan of Corsair’s gaming gear, the HS80 MAX feels like a love letter to audiophiles and gamers alike. Packed with upgrades and refined features, this headset is a powerhouse that doesn’t compromise on comfort or performance. Here’s why it’s earned a permanent spot on my desk: --- ### **Design & Comfort: All-Day Coziness** The HS80 MAX boasts a sleek, minimalist design with a lightweight aluminum-reinforced headband and plush memory foam ear cushions wrapped in breathable fabric. The clamping force is just right—secure enough for intense headbanging to victory anthems, yet gentle for marathon sessions. The adjustable headband ensures a perfect fit, and at just 370g, it’s easy to forget you’re wearing it. --- ### **Sound Quality: Pure Sonic Bliss** Equipped with **50mm high-density neodymium drivers**, the HS80 MAX delivers rich, immersive audio. Bass punches hard without muddying mids and highs, while Dolby Atmos support (on PC) creates a 3D soundscape that’s perfect for pinpointing footsteps in *Warzone* or losing yourself in *Elden Ring*’s orchestral scores. Tweak EQ profiles via Corsair’s **iCUE software** to tailor the sound to your taste—whether you’re craving crisp vocals or thunderous explosions. --- ### **Microphone: Studio-Grade Clarity** The **broadcast-quality omnidirectional mic** is a standout. It’s detachable, features a LED mute indicator, and uses AI-powered noise suppression to keep your comms crystal clear. Teammates won’t hear your keyboard clacks or dog barking—just your callouts. Plus, the flip-up mute function is intuitive mid-game. --- ### **Wireless Performance: Rock-Solid Reliability** Corsair’s **Slipstream Wireless** tech offers lag-free, lossless audio via USB-C dongle, with a staggering **65-hour battery life** (up from the original HS80’s 24 hours). Pair it simultaneously with **Bluetooth 5.3** for taking calls or streaming music from your phone while gaming. The range is impressive—I wandered 40 feet away without a dropout. --- ### **Battery & Charging: Marathon-Ready** The 65-hour runtime is a game-changer. A 15-minute USB-C charge nets 6 hours of playtime, though the removal of **Qi wireless charging** (available in the original HS80) is a slight letdown for desk minimalists. Still, the trade-off for extended battery life is worth it. --- ### **Software & Customization: iCUE Mastery** Corsair’s iCUE suite unlocks deep customization: create EQ presets, adjust mic settings, or tweak RGB lighting (a subtle Corsair logo). The interface is user-friendly, and firmware updates are seamless. --- ### **Compatibility: Platform Flexibility** Works flawlessly with **PC, PS5, and Nintendo Switch** via USB-C dongle, plus Bluetooth for mobile devices. Sadly, **no Xbox Wireless support**, and the lack of a 3.5mm jack means Xbox players are left out unless they use Bluetooth (which isn’t ideal for game audio). --- ### **Pros & Cons at a Glance** **Pros:** - Supreme comfort for long sessions. - Dolby Atmos immersion + stellar 50mm drivers. - Best-in-class mic clarity with noise suppression. - 65-hour battery, Slipstream + Bluetooth multitasking. - Lightweight, durable build. **Cons:** - No Xbox Wireless or 3.5mm support. - Qi charging removed. - RGB lighting is minimal (a pro for some!). The HS80 MAX is a must-buy for PC/PS5 gamers who prioritize audio fidelity, mic quality, and wireless freedom. While Xbox users and Qi enthusiasts might grumble, the headset’s stellar performance, comfort, and battery life make it a great choice. Corsair has nailed the balance between form and function here

Excellent headset, clear and sharp sound
Neatly packaged. No instructions in the box, however, I found a quick start guide easily online and it was straight forward to set the headset up. I've connected via Bluetooth to my phone and also iPad device and the sound quality was excellent. Made a few phone calls and these were clear and sharp with limited background sound. Easy to pair by clicking the Bluetooth button on the side of the headset. The microphone flashes red when it's ready to connect. The microphone goes blue when active and down by your mouth. When in vertical position away from your mouth, the microphone lights up red and is inactive. I've also used the wireless connector with PS5, playing online games and this worked great. Both the sound incoming and outgoing was clear. The headset is comfortable to wear due to the elasticated head strap inside the headband. Really easy to adjust and use. The volume and power button are located on the earphones, so easily accessible. I would highly recommend for gamers or also just for general use in online meetings etc.
