Unwelcome visitors through the cat flap can be stressful for your cat and disruptive for you. This SureFlap Microchip Cat Flap uses your cat's existing microchip as an electronic door key to keep intruder animals out without needing a collar. Battery powered setup works with all microchips and stores up to 32 cats. Suitable for small, medium and large cats with a max shoulder width of 14cm, it fits into glass, wood and most PVC doors or windows as a drop-in replacement.
The one-button setup means programming is straightforward without complicated instructions. The manual locking system switches between in, out, opened and locked positions to give you control over access times. Direct replacement for the old one.
Direct replacement for the one we've had for the last 7 years, which finally gave up the ghost. The new one is exactly the same size, so replacement took about 10 mins tops. Kudos to SureFlap for that!

Essential if wanting to keep other cats out!
I bought this to replace my previous cat flap (exactly the same model) due to it no longer holding its battery charge properly - it had lasted eight years, so I imagine it just naturally reached its full lifespan. I wouldn't be without this cat flap. There are a lot of cats in my neighbourhood and it successfully prevents other cats coming in. It was easy to set up by having it recognise my cat's microchip. It slotted into the hole that was there from the previous cat flap, meaning the dimensions have evidently been kept the same. Nothing bad to say really.

Very pleased with SureFlap Microchip Cat Flap
It took a while to train the cat to use this but we got there in the end, and now he's happy to use it, and has fully agency of when he goes in and out. It's fitted in the UPVC door. I got a friend to fit it for me - he checked there wasn't reinforcement in the door first, and it was a bit tricky because of moulding, so it needed silicone around it to keep it weatherproof, but it's well-fitted and looks good. It takes four AA batteries (not supplied) which should last a long time. I like the fact that it uses the cat's microchip for him to gain access, so hopefully I won't come home to find all the neighbourhood cats in the kitchen. I wasn't sure it had worked at first as there was no audible or visible sign it had registered, but it had. Has four access settings, so if I want, for example, for him to come in and not go out again (if I want him in for an appointment, for example) I can set it that way. Looks well-made and durable. Very pleased with it so far.

Can’t be without it!
Easy to install cat flap with excellent, can’t be without microchip recognition to automatically let in our cat only and allow her ease of access all day and night. Our cat is super happy with it and it’s literally changed her confidence since other more aggressive cats now know they can’t just come in. Would highly recommend if you don’t already have a microchip flap!

Bought as a direct replacement for a previous sureflap cat flap, which had had a busy life. Fitted well, and no problems so far with the cat using it.

Doesn’t quite work
Unfortunately the chip reader doesn’t read my cat with just her head stuck in the opening. In theory it works but only after she’s passed through do I hear the Gluck of the latch going down. I’ve had to cello tape it down to make it work so the chip reader is defunct and other cats get in.

To register the chip, simply press the button on the cat flap and then guide your cat through it once.
