Great cat flap.
I bought this to replace an older SureFlap door. Really easy to swap over, but the new clean and shiny door terrified my cat for a few hours! This one is a definite improvement, it no longer blows open in high winds!

Very good product, i have bought this as a replacement for the same one that I had for around 6 years but the Data chip reader stopped working but for the price and usage I think this is a great product.

For me is not working
The flap is good how it s looking but my cat is not going through. I mean he puts first the paws and than after the head so I think the reader can t get his chip so it s not opening the flap.

Yes, the SureFlap Microchip Cat Flap can fit into an existing hole. If you have a pre-cut hole, you can install the cat flap using a cat flap mounting adaptor. Ensure that the hole is the correct size for the flap to function properly. For glass doors, a pane with a pre-cut hole is required, and a glazier can supply this.

The SureFlap Microchip Cat Flap works with all common identification microchips & RFID collar tags (not included).
Selective entry – any animal can exit. The microchip reader is located on the outside of the cat flap only.
This cat flap also has a manual lock which stops your cat leaving or entering the house. Set to in-only to enable your cat to come indoors without being able to get out again.
There is a DualScan Microchip Cat Flap which can set exit permissions for each pet to keep specific pets indoors using DualScan technology.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for SureFlap Microchip Cat Flap.
If the batteries run out, the cat flap will remain locked. Therefore, it's important to replace the batteries promptly when the low battery indicator starts flashing.

This SureFlap Microchip Cat Flap is suitable for pets with a max shoulder width of 14.2cm.
Provided your dog can be trained to use it there is nothing which would specifically prevent a dog using this flap, however for small dogs we would generally recommend the larger pet door here: https://www.argos.co.uk/product/5758618...
