A big disappointment - not as described.
As someone else has pointed out, there is no illumination in the display but it is large and easily readable. The big downside is that, despite claims to the contrary, these scales do NOT work on any sort of medium thickness carpet, such as a bedroom carpet, even with the foot extenders fitted - the bottom of the scale touches the pile of the carpet and interferes with the reading. My wife has already rejected it and gone back to using her old scales. I'm going to have to cut a plywood base out for it - hopeless. Note also that to register for the 15 year warranty, you need the data from the label on the box - we threw the box away and now can't register for the extended warranty, as the data required isn't on the scales.
