More difficult than usual to cut to size.
The blind itself looks nice, good metal fixings, but the bottom bar is an odd design. We had to cut this blind to fit a recess, done this many times with blinds. All good till you come to the bizarre design of the bottom bar, which is hard to explain but its metal half wrapped in the fabric of the blind which the blind slides into. After scratching our heads, because thete were instructions but notvertmy detailed. So we taped it off with masking tape, cut through the fabric with a craft knife first then cut the metal bar, slid the fabric blind back on and put the end caps back on. Ours was much neater than the side that was already done. In operation the metal bar looks OK but is clunky and noisy in operation if it catches on the window handles and chain because its metal. Also it wasn't easy to match up the stripes on the blind with the stripes on the fabric on the bottom bar, which is glued on. We didn't quite manage it but by that point I was past caring. It's more work than a normal blind but for no benefit that we could see.

Lovely Material
Brought this for my sons bedroom. It looks lovely, the material is really nice and it goes with the nautical vibe I was after. Is good as a black out blind.

Excellent Value
We needed to replace a kitchen blind and this was perfect. It’s fresh in appearance and represented excellent quality for the cost. It’s fresh and was considerably more reasonable than similar products.

Hello Mols,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Habitat Stripe Blackout Blue Roller Blind - 180cm: This blind is not made with an anti-mildew coating therefore we do not recommend bathroom installation; however, this is ultimately up to the customer.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hello there.

Hello Missblondie,
The supplier has advised the following for how to trim the blind on the Stripe Blackout Blue Roller Blind - 90cm:
1. Measure the width of the recess using a metal ruler. (Please take into consideration any obstructions such
as tiles or dado rails).
2. Slot the tube off the fabric ready to trim. (Please ensure you handle fabric with care, any kneeling or pressure from pulling may permanently damage the fabric. Using your width of the recess, deduct 28mm to determine the measurement for the tube).
3. Trim using a hacksaw, file any edges if necessary.
4. To find your bottom bar measurement, deduct a
further 20mm from your tube measurement. Remove the caps at both ends of the bottom bar and slide this off the fabric.
5. Trim using a hacksaw on the non wrapped side. Once
you have cut the bottom bar and reach the wrapped
fabric, trim this with scissors and file any edges if
necessary.
6. To cut the fabric, using the same measurement as
your bottom bar, mark with a pencil and trim with
scissors.
7. Slide the bottom bar and tube back onto the fabric and
roll the fabric back carefully.
8. Insert the caps back into the bottom bar.
Thank you for using Q&A.
