About this product
Johnstone's Quick Dry Primer Undercoat is suitable for use on interior and exterior bare timber and masonry surfaces. It is a water based paint, with at non - yellowing, low odour formulation and is easy to apply for interior use with coverage of 13m2 per tin. Perfectly primes bare wood and previously painted wood and metal surfaces.

Excellent Primer!
The primer did the job when painting my dining table. Good consistency and went on nicely. Dries quickly.

A good undercoat
I’ve never had issues with Johnstone so was not a concern when choosing an undercoat.

Good product
Bought to cover outdoor paint before applying top coat. Good adherence and nice and thick helped to fill in rough surface. Dried off quick too, handy to get the job done before the rain came!

Good undercoat
Got this to go over some skirting boards that, by the looks of the yellowing on them hadn't seen a paint brush since the 90's! After a light sand the paint took to the surface perfectly with no drip and gave a great base for the Johnstone's satin I put on top. Very pleased with the result.

Great paint at an excellent price
Johnston's paint is now my go-to paint and Argos is the cheapest locally that meets the brief. Just done all the skirting and window frames on our Dining room and the finish is first class

Decent paint and a good price
A nice finish and a quick drying paint that is also a good price. It isn't non drip which would have been better for my purposes but I knew that anyway.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Johnstone's Quick Dry Primer Undercoat 1.25L Brilliant White: I can tell you that the paint can be used on radiators
However, do not use on copper pipe as they can turn green
Radiators must be turned off until paint is fully dry
